Strike kills 21 militants in Pakistan, officials say

A Pakistani military attack on five suspected militant hideouts killed 21 militants Wednesday, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

The aerial assault targeted militant hideouts and a training center in the areas of upper Orakzai Agency, one of the seven districts of Pakistan's tribal area bordering Afghanistan, the officials said.

They asked not to be identified because they are not authorized to speak to the media.

More predator strikes from Obama. Better chance for success and extrication of our troops. No water boarding. No Abu Graib. We have captured or killed more terrorist leaders with Obama. Less money given to Cheneys companies. Health care reform for most all Americans. An actual plan to improve the lives of everyday American people. And yes there is a plan and more to come from this administration. The first African American President and the first Madam Speaker. All this done despite the obstructionist from Republic of Rush party in just over one year. makes the right and irrelevant seem extremely ( extremist) petty and small. No wonder they are so pissed. Will of the people. Will of the people voted overwhelmingly for Obama when he ran on a platform of health care reform. Will of the people,,,does this mean the right now admits Gore did win.

Since 1980's Pakistan being Islamic Terrorists Breeder. They created Taliban and all other terrorist organizations. They are simply cunning foxes. Their country's shape itself looks like a FOX. They are very cunning people on the earth. They simply tell lies on the name of Allah. Pakistan is a terrorist country in the world apart from Saudi Arabia.

The US created the monster of taliban to do to the soviets what Vietnamese did to them. Osama and 9/11 is a direct product of that strategy. Take India for instance Indira Gandhi created Bhinderwalw to destabilize Punjab and form a Congress government. He eventually turned on her and destablized the country.Which eventually led to her death. India initially supported the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka and the Indian army got its nose bloodied and Rajiv Gandhi assassinated for its troubles. Politicians always look at short term gains and ignore the long term implications of their action. terrorists can NOT be controlled. This same strategy is being followed in Pakistan.

Pakistan did not have to help the US create Taliban but they saw it as opportunity to get weapons and money from the US and start a proxy war in India. Now Pakistan is in shambles the economy is in ruins, personal safety and well being of its population is in serious jeopardy. Yet the army and ISI still think terrorism is a legitimate form of warfare and that it can be controlled. It is time Pakistanis wake up to the fact that the policy of controlled terrorism is doomed.

And yes i am an Indian but I am not a nationalist but a pragmatist. India has made serious mistakes as well and has paid dearly for it. But right now Pakistan is not being destabilized by India but by the various terrorist organizations within Pakistan. It is foolish to think that "freedom fighters" fighting for liberation of Kashmir will not turn on their supporters eventually. I mean the freedom fighters of Afghanistan turned on their own people and committed horrible acts. Fanaticism and terrorism can not be controlled. But i think Pandora is out of the box and now even if the ISI really wanted to eliminate the terrorists, i don't think they would be able to.

Please dont give weapons to Pakistan Army. They will create Taliban all over again. This is their business. They stop terror, they loose their business. Please understand.

Pakistan army/ISI BUSINESS is to CREATE TEROR to milk money from US. Poor pakistani people are suffering. Most of the Pak army / ISI children are studying and settling in US/Europe. US has to wake up to this...stop giving money and weapons to Pakistan. Empower the Pakistan government. Why is Kayani in US instead of Pak government head ? If US encourages army rather than democratically elected goverment than you are feeding the monster...another saddam in making.

If you see overall picture, US taxpayers money which can be used to generate employment in US for its 10% unempoyed is given to ISI/Pak army to kill amerrican soldiers ? How can US been so naive ? paying money to someone who would kill their soldiers ?

They have given you enought headaches by transferring nuclear tech to Iran, North Korea

You are giving weapons to people who are harboring terrorists who were responsible for 9/11.

It would come as no surprise if Osama is hiding in Kayani/Musharaffs home.

This is a very unstable country which has had many years of military regime over the years since its independence. US puts too much trust in Pakistan's help in the war on terror. I have noticed that these kind of news of killing of terrorists come out when Pakistan is ready to ask US for aid in money or weapons. Other times hardly anything is going on. And now the latest news is US might give Pakistan nuclear technology for 'civilian purposes'. I hardly think they can protect these from falling into terrorists hands.

Why isn't Pakistan (and the US and UK who aid it) slammed for murdering people indiscriminately?
Israel assassinates a top terrorist quietly, and the entire world is super-pissed. But a massive attack on "suspected" hideouts is ok? Did they actually check who's there? Were there also some civilians there? Why isn't the entire world up on its feet?

Pakistan is and will continue to be the source of all major terrorist activities. The country's rulers whether military or civilian have never focused on development. The only way they can sustain the country economically and militarily is to extract goodies from the world community at large and the US in particular. Since the Soviet occupation of afghanistan is long over for which Pakistan needed to be fed and pampered and begging does not yield results, there is little option left for Pakistan but to keep creating trouble and then get paid by the US to quell it. That is the only source of income for the country and its rulers. With a huge army and lots of weapons, it will be no wonder that Pakistan army will light fires which will require more US money to douse. If all else fails, they will bring out some of the taliban and al-qaida leaders as a prize and get rewarded for it. Believe me, all that pakistan requires is a good enough incentive and bin laden (dead or alive) can be delivered to Obama's doorstep by the next flight.

It beats me and the literate world completely to see the world's biggest, strongest country with the best brains and the technology on this planet can be fooled by the tiny scum country which is the biggest producer, nurturer and exporter of terrorism ! Again and again and again! US needs big time brain scan. Few years from now US will have another 9/11, thanks to these decisions today. And that's no brainer! GOD help the people of US.

what i think that every people on the world wants peace in his country. There's nobody who want his country people to die so how any one can say that the country is producing terrorists
to his own people this makes no since . so one can't blame the people of the country for such thing.
