Purported bin Laden tape hints at retaliation on America
An audio message purportedly from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden threatened retaliation against Americans if alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is executed.
The message - aired Thursday by the Arabic-language TV network Al-Jazeera - is directed at "the American people about our prisoners," the speaker said.
"Your master in the White House is following his predecessor in many important issues, like escalating the war in Afghanistan and unfairly treating our prisoners - led by the hero jihadi Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," who faces trial in the United States for his alleged actions in the 2001 attack.
"The White House declared that they will execute Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his comrades in arms."
If America makes a decision to execute Mohammed, it would be responsible "when we execute anyone of you we capture."
"We have been enduring your masters' oppression for a long time, especially by supporting Israel's occupation of our land in Palestine. Our reaction to that oppression was heard loudly on the 11th with God's help," a reference to the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the United States.
"Justice is to be treated in the same manner," he said.
Purported bin Laden messages last surfaced in late January.
In one of them, the al Qaeda leader condemned the United States and other industrial nations for causing climate change. The message criticized former U.S. President George W. Bush for rejecting the Kyoto Protocol on global warming, and the speaker condemned international corporations.
In another, bin Laden claimed responsibility for the alleged Christmas Day attempt by Nigerian national Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to blow up a Northwest Airlines plane as it approached Detroit, Michigan, from Amsterdam, Netherlands. Bin Laden also warned the United States of more attacks.
CNN could not independently confirm the authenticity of the messages.

A threat from bin Laden is a joke. What could he or his followers possibly do in "retaliation" for anything that we may or may not do that they are not already doing on a daily basses? What could they do differently that they have not already done? I think we would do well to bath KSM in pig fat
then send him to his merry meeting with his virgins.
The day i see a video of OBL holding up a recent copy of a newspaper, i will believe that he is not dead, anyone can claim to be him on a voice only recording, personally i believe he died of kidney failure years ago.
Let me get this straight, Bin Laden is saying if we kill his lackey, he will do the same thing to prisoners they hold of ours? Give me a break, they have none, because they have killed them already. This idiot has been killing our people before and since 9-11. He thinks we have forgotten??

how come everyone seems to forget Osama bin Laden was trained by CIA to fight against russia by that time he was wanted in the whole middle east but managed to escape as a result of his billions. on top of that his beef was US troops coming to his Holy Land saudi
Is it possible that obama is osama's inside man? Just a question. Lets face it. It would be the perfect set up. Our country is being slowly distroyed and all we can do is stand by and watch. John Bender – I cannot even imagine why you would think that holding Mecca, a holy city to Muslims, would be a good idea at all. First, it's in Saudi Arabia, where radical Islam was basically born, so you'd only fuel the anger/hatred of more extremists. Second, history shows that anytime a foreign power invades a sacred site to Muslims (or any group for that matter), that group will retaliate with all force possible (indigenous groups in the Peruvian Amazon against the Peruvian government, Palestinians against Israel, etc). It's people like you that make it difficult for me to believe that everyone in America should have the right to vote.
This tape is a fake or Ben is chilling out with Bush and making tapes to lead the public opinion and still keep the idea, of fighting a never ending battle with a population of terrorist that will never stop growing, alive. I say Obama is right about bush and the corporations. After all corporations were created to extend government power and policy however they have at least in America become our superiers in government and are the only American government forigen nations see first hand. Because we do not know about what corporations are doing in foriegn countries we do not understand the full scale of whats happening to the innocent civilians of these nations. The only difference between corporations and the american civilian is that corporations have billions and trillions of dollars and as everyone should know the American dollar is American policy. Corporations have more freedom and power than the American individual and yet everyone here seems willing to go along with corporations as if they will one day own or run one themselves. Fake pride is ruining us.
We need a revolution because we our terrorist of corporations and Ben la la is a terrorist of the other side but on all sides the civilians are the ones partaking in unwanted coites of our exit canal. The reason we do not revolt is because we are no longer a group of individuals. Instead we are a group of individuals who have had their personas transformed into a singular persona. Look at the millions who talk, eat, dress, act and react the same almost as if they were mimicing one person in particular.
al-Queda is turning into an entity... who really are these guys?,why is North America tolerating the native countrys of the leaders its getting harder to start wars these days...all this intrigue is fascinating really... if it weren't for the horrible suffering of war.
The number 1 threat to America is terrorists getting a nuke and blowing up Washington D.C. or NY but I bet they would like to take out several cities at once but even your goverment knows this is the number 1 threat and has prepared for all of our goverment officials to be replaced in a matter of hours if such a bomb destroyed & kill most if not all of our goverment officials in D.C. 911 was just a test run of what is to come and Bin Laden said he wants more than 4 million dead in one strike. So how would you acheive such a feat ? Can you say Nukes ???? Wake up America when this day comes the end of days will be at hand for the retaliation against the middle east will be at hand and the new goverment will bring a sub up from the depths and blast the middle east a new world to live in just like the terriost did to us. armageddon will have began.
Here's a history/geography/sociology lesson for everyone. To start things off, our troops have been at war with Iraq and Afghanistan for over six years. The total population of these countries is 35,973,635. And the total square miles is 419,225. Now im sure you're all wondering where im going with this. Hitler conquered the entire country of France in less than six weeks. And France has a population of 62,048,473 and covers 210,026 miles.
So, what that means is a complete lunatic can crush a country nearly twice as populated as the two we are waging war on. And do it in less than two months...and we are six years running with no signs of an end. And also keep in mind that the US was the only reason Hitler didn't conquer every piece of land in the world. So tell me why, oh why, haven't we liberated these two countries by now? Now im not against the war in any way. I feel its necessary. But for God's sake if you are gonna invade a country do it with some frickin conviction!

It's been occupied & run by monarchs since the Romans changed the name from Judea... what ever... that statement is so blatantly inaccurate. It became a free country along w/all the other Muslim countries in the 1900's thanks to Britain. Why can't there be one country where the native Jews can live, in their home lands w/out oppression? they are surrounded by haters & have done nothing but persevere by defending & promoting freedom for ALL people in this country called Israel. Innovative & fruitful, since they purchased the desolate land that was mostly unoccupied. Jerusalem in only Holy to Jews (documented in scriptures 1000's of years ago) does the Koran speak of it? Muhammad only joined the religions 600 years after Jesus...hmmm All people living in this country were Palestinian...including Jews, Christians, & yes Arabs. but there was no Muslims or an independent Palestinian country, it was the ROMAN empire that changed the name. Israel is just used as a pawn to fight Liberty & freedom in the M.E. it's a very Liberal/secular country & they can't handle it, nor can they believe that Hitler didn't finish the job.
