Militia group suspects charged with conspiracy
Nine suspected members of a militia group were charged Monday with seditious conspiracy and related charges, federal prosecutors said.
Six Michigan residents, two residents of Ohio and an Indiana resident were indicted by a federal grand jury in Detroit, Michigan, on charges of seditious conspiracy, attempted use of weapons of mass destruction, teaching the use of explosive materials and possessing a firearm during a crime of violence, U.S. Attorney Barbara L. McQuade and FBI Special Agent in Charge Andrew Arena announced.
The five-count indictment unsealed Monday charges that between August 2008 and the present, the defendants, acting as a Lenawee County, Michigan, militia group called the Hutaree, conspired to oppose by force the authority of the U.S. government.
The suspects were identified as David Brian Stone, 45; his wife, Tina Stone, 44; his son, Joshua Matthew Stone, 21, of Clayton, Michigan; and another son, David Brian StoneJr., 19, of Adrian, Michigan; Joshua Clough, 28, of Blissfield, Michigan; Michael Meeks, 40, of Manchester, Michigan; Thomas Piatek, 46, of Whiting, Indiana; Kristopher Sickles, 27, of Sandusky, Ohio; and Jacob Ward, 33, of Huron, Ohio.
Eight of the nine defendants are in custody and seven of them will make their initial appearance before U.S.Magistrate Judge Donald A. Scheer on Monday morning, prosecutors said. Joshua Stone is a fugitive, according to prosecutors.

People need to read the constitution and understand the second ammendment and the reasons the founding fathers gave to as when it could be used!
I believe any well organization that plan and train it member to terror & kills against their belief or philosophy is terrorist. BIG Question is either Govt or Media afraid to call them terrorist, because of very sensitive subject for media or govt, therefore they use word like either militia group or christian militia. If the same group form by any other religious group, what do you call them? My view their should not be double standard or politic on this point. The govt policy should be very clear like either this group call BLACK or WHITE .
I understand we have the right to militia and it is our constitutional right,but do you honestly think that this silly uprising would of ever had any effect on our government?NO, These people are mediocre retards(giving them credit by calling them that) who fail to remember their militia will eventually,if it ever got this far, have to take on the Armed Forces of the US, starting with the national guard who will probably fail and then the Marines would have to come clean house cause thats just what we do. Stop your f#$in crying and wait the 4 years out if your not happy, shit always changes. Look at the guys overseas right now..do you think they all believe in what's going on is right? No. Of course not, but we swear to defend the constitution against foreign and domestic regardless of what we think may be right or wrong. So, before you raise your silly weapons that you have the right to carry, remember there will always be someone bigger and badder than you that will kick your ass.
These guys should also be consider as terrorist. They opposed the government and that 's exactly what terrorists groups in Iraq and Afghanistan does and they were consider as terrorist so why can't these guy be called terrorist as well?
The Christian right with the tacit approval of radical republicans are no different then the Taliban in Afghanistan. All terrorists militia organizations should be outlawed.
tea party,right and left wing,independents,diverse ethnic groups,etc.....when will we stop fighting and blaming each other and start working with each other.We complain our life is hard and we blame the government and each other,but never ourselves.Is it wrong to carry arms and learn to use them ?No.Is it wrong to plot to kill someone for any reason at all,yes.The problem with calling them terrorists is that we legitimize them by recognizing their personal and social agendas.We allow them to spread their IDEAS even when they fail to carry out their plots.They should be treated as no more than what they really are.common criminals who have conspired to commit murder.that alone is enough to lock them away.Seeing as a weapon of mass destruction is considered to be able to kill multiple people at one time,I think posession of a bomb would qualify.even a sawed off shotgun is considered to be illegal.
So why don,t we work as a nation and quit labeling ourselves.why would anyone want to divide their country into many groups and then expect for everything to go their way?religion,politics,and economics have been the leading killers in the history of humanity and yet we continue to use them as weapons against each other and forget that we are supposed to be one nation.you hear around the world how many countries hate us,but they do not discriminate,they hate us all equally.If they see us all as one people,why can't we?
Everything negative is blamed on the repulicans – I find that funny! I don't see the democrats doing any great wonderful deeds – they just label their deeds great. Hopefully, in November all that will change and we get some good republicans in a position to calm down the dems on their wild ride.
Good, another blow against terrorism of the domestic kind. To say these folks are not terrorists is ridiculous. No, they didn't fly planes into buildings. One American recently did, but they didn't call him a terrorist. What about Oklahoma City? Was that terrorism? Yes. Those two guys were involved with militia groups, and those associations have to be examined. To say these are not likely terrorists amounts to saying that no (should I say Anglo-American?) American can be a terrorist. It amounts to just plain old racism or xenophobia. Some here have forgotten, conveniently I think, that the Oklahoma City bombing ever happened.

That is what the British government should have used for our founding fathers when they acted up and showed their displeasure for over-taxation and control of the colonists lives. The colonists thought they were British but the British government called them colonists and treated them like second class citizens. Similar to what the elite Congress and our government is doing to the American people today. Except most are too stupid and too lazy to work hard for a living. They would rather watch "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars" and collect their entitlements and have "Big Brother" think for them.
For those that work for a living and depend upon themselves and believe in NO entitlements, it frosts our little tushes that most would rather have "Big Brother" take away our freedoms, and tax us to death doing so. Because we all know what a fine job our government has done with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the Postal Service, and now too big to fail AIG which happened to carry Congress' cushy pension plan! We also have Obama Motors and now Health Care. Wonderful! I'm sure they will do it right for all of us!
Nope, the Constitution is shredded, replaced with Universal Commerce Code (UCC), managed by "banksters" (the Federal Reserve, which is no more Federal than Federal Express!) who don't have to account for our money. But God forbid if you quit paying taxes or complain about the situation! And the ones in control are waiting for another "event" like 911 to take the rest of our freedoms away.
Get rid of the Democrats AND the Republicans! They are BOTH CORRUPT! Get a new batch in there that haven't been tainted by lobbyists and big money! Let the programs be managed at the state level and let the Federal government do what the Constitution stated: National defense, interstate commerce, and print money.

The Hutrae militia are criminals who are trying to destroyed this country by destroying American dreams. They are not like other militia that are not anti US government, anti new world order, or anti one world government. They are just right wing group like the KKK and Neo Nazi which are bunch of thugs, gangs, and racist group.
Many of these cases are just of people messed up in the mind.
