Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner heads to Beijing to meet with China's Vice Premier Wang Qishan. The focus of the talks is unclear. However, it's expected that the value of China's currency, the yuan, could be the main topic of their discussion. Read more

Most of the big chain stores will release their retail sales reports for March, and analysts predict the numbers will show 6 percent growth. That would be the best increase in three years.
Studying polar ice caps from space
The European Space Agency plans to launch its latest polar ice observation mission, dedicated to observe the Earth's polar regions. CryoSat-2 will be placed into orbit 435 miles (700 km) above the Earth by a Russian rocket launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Lift-off is scheduled for 9:57 a.m. ET. Read more
