New Toyota documents shed light on accelerator concerns

CNN has obtained e-mails between Toyota execs over concerns with the company’s accelerator pedals, which came under fire after several reports of unintended acceleration in their vehicles.

The documents also include a timeline of events related to concerns over the issue.

CNN reached out to Irv Miller, Toyota's group vice president for environmental and public affairs, in response to the e-mails he wrote. He declined to do an interview or offer any context to the emails.

"I have no comment at all," Miller said.

The birth of drive-by-wire original from Flight-by-wire (Aircraft, Fighter Jet, Space Launch Vehicle, and Satellites). In the flight-by-wire situation, there is one condition required - heavy maintance checks in every use.
Throttle-by-wire in automobiles is a bad idea. (The most important one- 'heavy check requirement' is missing but cut cost.
Also the outside enviroment we've the mass megnitics interrucption by wireless phones, freeway scanning system..... (All airlines not allow you to use cellular phones during takeoff/landing.. prevent the interrucption to their communications).

CAN, LIN, Spacewire.... original purpose in the areospace industry in to reduce the weight and better actuating control.

So NASA is the only White Knight can save TOYOTA....The Obama administation has in American car industry for the rescure mission funding.

I'm one of the tax payers, so NASA should get the pay from TOYOTA to fix the ECU problems. Noting to do with 'the accelerator pedals'. Fixing the accelerator pedals is a miss leading of the cost saving to TOYOTA. one-to-ten, or one-to-25 issues.
