Tiger Woods' Nike ad - Tiger Woods' name has flooded the Web ever since he crashed his car into a tree and revelations of cheating came about. Today, everyone's still talking Tiger, but this time it's about a new ad put out by Nike that uses Woods' deceased father's voice with the message that the golfer has learned his lesson.
It's getting strong reactions from just about anyone who has seen it and either tweeted, posted or written about it and they're split - it's either beautifully moving or just plain creepy and manipulative to people. All you have to do is Google "Tiger Woods Nike ad" (or click on the phrase at the beginning of this entry) to see the headlines are wildly split. What do you think? Did Nike, the brand that stood by Tiger Woods, go overboard? Or is it a fitting return ahead of the pursuit for the coveted Green Jacket. (See Nike's take)
OS 4 iPhone - Apple does it, and we listen. The company, fresh off their iPad hype has announced their new iPhone OS today, nearly bringing Apple fanatics to their knees in thanks that multitasking (available already on most other smartphones) will now be a part of the iPhone experience, and you won't even have to jailbreak your phone to get it. I think a collective "Thank God" could likely be heard around the world. For the rest of the new features (including background audio and VOIP technology) check out the CNET, ArtsTechnica and Fortune liveblogs of the event.
Kate Gosselin - Kate Gosselin sure has had a lot to juggle in the last year: Raising eight young children, battling their father for custody, competing on "Dancing with the Stars" and being stalked by paparazzi. And TLC says that's exactly why she's the perfect person to help other families try and balance their lives - so much so that its the basis for her new show (sans John) called "Twist of Kate."
