Indonesia jolted by earthquake

An earthquake that struck Indonesia on Saturday was downgraded to a magnitude 6.0, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake, which was initially reported as magnitude 6.1, was centered in the Obi islands, a group of islands in the Indonesian province of Maluku.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. The quake struck at 4:41 p.m. local time and was about 33 miles (53.4 kilometers) deep.

The quake had not triggered a tsunami warning, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

Are you kidding me? People, please take notice at all of these signs taking place.. we are so very close to the return of Christ.... just look, ANOTHER one? You have got to be kidding me... enough of your excuses, it's time to face facts, God is real, and is returning, it's time to repent before it's to late.

The month of April should erase any doubt in people's minds that these earthquakes are not normal but that we are living out Bible prophesy namely Matthew 24.

First! So I get to chime in before the nay-sayers get here...

Ok, so just some facts (can't say these enough, apparently), earthquakes with magnitudes between 6.0 and 6.9 happen on average of 140 times every year. That's one every three days about. That's an average, though. Some years we might have a bit less, and some a bit more. This year, me may end up with 180. Is that extraordinary? Not at all. As it is, one every three days should prove how common they are.

And to throw this out there, Indonesia is one of the most seismically active places in the world. Earthquakes, even of 6.0 magnitude are no stranger to them. They get several of them EVERY year! They are NOT uncommon at the least.

These are proven facts. They're not facts made up just this year. So, for those that say the statistics have been skewed in the past few months to make it seem like they're not happening more frequently, you're wrong. The scientists with the USGS and other worldwide geographic and geophysical agencies spent wayyyy too many years in school doing wayyyy too much research and are getting paid waayyyy too little to ALL be part of some big conspiracy to hide the truth. The truth has already been stated by the USGS themselves...earthquakes are NOT happening more often then previous background levels, as of yet.

I realize no one's posted anything here yet refuting what I'm saying above, so for those of you who want to flame me for trying to preempt something that hasn't been posted yet, well, I'm just trying to get this out there, because I've read enough of these articles and sooner or later, they crawl out of the woodwork.

Before I crawl back into the woodwork – let me say that you may be correct – you may not be… in that Bible readers might include ‘In Diverse Places’ – and indeed, that IS true. No?

And it is not only earthquakes that lead good people to suggest that we are, indeed, in the ‘end times’ the bible and other scholars and religions all predict and prophesy.

Take a look around at the lack of morality in this world today. Greed rules and Corporate arrogance abounds. Now consider the wars and rumors of wars – and the frightening possible result of World War 3!

No sir, I do not see Chicken Little running and yelling ‘The Sky is Falling’.

I see opinions of very wise and faith filled people who studied and watched – and [I pray] are ready for the worst – which is surely yet to come… and soon.

This, for sure, is the season spoken of in the New Testament… and these are the late latter days – when the prophecies in the Bible will come to pass.

Wake up – what does your heart say? Forget your science – though I agree it is valuable – and listen to your heart – is the world well? No, my friend, it is not.

But one day it will be by the power and authority of Jesus Christ.

Bye now, I have to go back in to the wood work.

There is definitely an increase in tectonic activity worldwide, and there a number of reasons for this. A major one being...us. What do you think kept the plates in place? A natural buffering agent called, in scientific terms...oil. As we pump it out by the tons every day, it is sheer ignorance to think that it has not had a geological effect. We need to become more responsible with our use of natural resources, they are there for a reason, and it has nothing to do with simply serving our needs.

the sky is falling...the sky is falling.....
I've seen some really crazy statements about the end times because an earthquake makes news......earthquakes happen everyday all the time and have for years.....but with a 24 hr news cycle they need filler so they tell you about them......it also amuses most readers to see the christians go all "end times" in the comment section.

People come on...lol. Our earth has cycles to it just like our Sun and every other celestial body. We are in simply in a period of tectonic activity. Whenever the tectonic plates build up enough stress they must release it, and since the majority of our fault lines are in conjunction at one point or another when one release happens it causes a domino effect of sorts. That's all this is and yes these events can cause stresses on Magma chambers as well causing volcanoes to erupt. To compare this to what the end days will truly be like is ludicrous.

Whatever geological interpretations, the bitter truth is that, the end is near! There are no greater signs to that.

The apacolypse occured in 1757. Everything happening today is a response to what was delivered at that time. Of course, one would have to study history and it's churches outside of the lies that are pushed among mainstream acedemia, church, and the media. These earthquakes are man made as surely as the sun rises each day. Each modern technological advancement is used as a means to glorify man above god, which is, in itself, the worship of the anti-christ.

@JOSH ... Josh .. I am so with you brother .... we see earthquakes on almost daily basis these days – as well as the smoking vulcano in Island: Psalm 104:32 he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke.

We ARE living in Matthew 24 and so many people are blind and ignorant of this and will be so so so sorry ! Jesus is on His way .. even so, come Lord Jesus ... thanks for reading, God bless you Josh 🙂
