Mexico issues advisory for Arizona

Mexico's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued an advisory to Mexicans living and working in Arizona following the signing of a controversial law to stem illegal immigration in that state.

In Arizona "there is a negative political environment for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors," the advisory states.

The new law requires Arizona police to determine whether people are in the United States legally if there is a reason to suspect they aren't.

Although the new law doesn't go into effect until 90 days after the close of the state's legislative session, the Mexican government advised its citizens in Arizona to begin carrying all immigration documents with them immediately "to avoid needless confrontations."

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, signed the controversial legislation into law Friday. Supporters say it is needed to control illegal immigration.

The advisory points Mexicans in Arizona to the state's five Mexican consulates for legal advice if they feel they have been subjected to abuse by authorities.

"As long as no clear criteria are defined for when, where and who the authorities will inspect, it must be assumed that every Mexican citizen may be harassed and questioned without further cause at any time," the advisory states.

I HAVE A BETTER IDEA. LETS STOP ALL THE WHITE HONKEYS "LIKE ME" AND ASK FOR THEIR ID AND ARREST THE OTHERS BECAUSE THEY THINK IT IS BENEATH THEM TO CARRY IT OR SHOW IT.
IF IT WALKS LIKE DUCK, LOOKS LIKE A DUCK, AND QUACKS LIKE A DUCK, DO YOU REALLY THINK WE SHOULD STOP ANYONE WITH BLUE EYES?

Okay folks, lets walk the dog on this thing. As the law is written, a police officer cannot simply walk up to someone and ask if they are a citizen and to produce papers. However, upon any lawful contact, they can. So if a cop pulls someone over for a traffic violation and in the course of interaction with the individual suspects that they might be an immigrant, they can ask for proof. What are those indicators? Doesn't speak English AT ALL, does not have a valid drivers license, does not know their own address, etc. Every time I get pulled over, I have to produce ID so not sure what the problem is unless your ID is expired, fake, etc. And for those critics who are saying "what if you don't have it on you when you get stopped?".....well, if you give ANY law enforcemt officer your SSN and tell them you name and date of birth they can verify who you are. I'm thinking that if you are here illegally, you are not going to come up with all that matching data. So all you welfare loving, resource sucking, illegals get your documents in order or get your butts out! It kills me that nobody would complain if I get kicked out of a concert or a movie for not having my ticket stub but go to the mat to protect illegals in our country without proper documentation. Use common sense people.

The Fourth Amendment may not protect illegal immigrants, but "legal" persons will be harrassed by this law, too, and they ARE protected. So, the law itself is illegal.

Oh, you silly Americans. Constantly shooting yourself in the foot.

Sign us up! It's about time we stopped catering to illegal people in our country. We require documentation for a UPS box coming into country...why would you think we shouldn't require people to be here legally also? Quit crying...stupid liberals.

  5. 100% AMERICAN INDIAN

Illegal Aliens: Anyone who is NOT 100% Native American needs to adhere to the law. This country has had a problem with Illegals since the 1500's and has become over run with Illegals since the 1500's. The Natives held this land in perfect pristine condition until the last 200 years.

I agree, we have too many illegals here. Namely white folk. Blacks were brought here against their will, so we don't mind if they stay. Those of you that claim to be "part Indian", you're mostly white, so please again, pack yo shyte and go back to your motherland. We Natives will gladly see you to the port doors and gladly shut the door on your arses.

Some people cant seem to grasp the RACIAL PROFILING component from the actual law enforcement illegal alien part of it.

Should you be here if you are an illegal alien. NO

Should you be able to be pulled over here in the US if you LOOK like an illegal alien.

because there is no criteria for what illegal aliens look like. As soon as I see the list and what makes an illegal alien look like an alien, I'll be much happier

And lets not play a PC game here, most people who are going to assume its Mexican/Hispanic looking people in Arizona who are illegals, instead of Tomasz Bieganski, your quiet, friendly unassuming Polish neighbor down the street who could be just as illegal (at least here in Chicago anyways)

are Yellow stars with Los Illegales the next step?

So, who is going to wake up at 4:00am in the morning to bake bread, who is going to do the manual labour that no one wants to do.
How many MEXICAN do you see begging for money in Arizona, compared to AMERICAN?
Anyway, MEXICO has much more potential to grow in the coming years that the US.

Please confirm if this only applies to brown-skinned people? If not, I need to notify my friends Sally Sue Smith and Billy Bob Baker to carry their U.S. birth certificates with them at all times because I'm sure when they wrote this fine piece of racism disguised as legislature, they intended it to apply to everyone, regardless of skin color....right? RIght?

This isn't being driven by skin color or race. It's friven by illegal activity; drugs, murder, tresspassing, and oh yes... entering ILLEGALLY! As a world traveler, having been in Europe, Asia, the Far East and MEXICO, I know first hand how countries require you to provide legitimate proof of status. I always carry my passport when on foreign soil and I've had to produce it for foreign law enforcement officials. What's the big deal? If you entered legally, then you have some small (pocket sized) document to show that. It's only when you enter ILLEGALLY that you don't want to have anything in your pockets. Obey the Law or hit the road.

This gave me a good, hearty laugh. First of all what's this Mexican "government" i'm hearing about. The don't seem to care too much when Americans are getting kidnapped and killed in their country, and now their citizens can't illegally skip across the border, and they get mad? Give me a break. I say we annex Mexico.

It dosent matter what Arizona does we are still going keep comming here...lol stop getting so mad we are here to stay. You all are building this wall between mexico and texas to keep us out buuahahahaha. Who do you think is building this wall, mexicans are. We are building this wall and at the same time we are digging holes under it to get in. You try to hide your ignorant ass by saying that its to keep terrorist out......funny cuz there has never been a terrorist or terrorist suspect come in through Mexico. What happend sep. 11th was the stupidity of the American government and the CIA not listening to other countries warnings that this was going to happen. If you white america can't protect the american people then give America back to the Indians and the southern states back to Mexico. 🙂
