Mexico issues advisory for Arizona

Mexico's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued an advisory to Mexicans living and working in Arizona following the signing of a controversial law to stem illegal immigration in that state.

In Arizona "there is a negative political environment for migrant communities and for all Mexican visitors," the advisory states.

The new law requires Arizona police to determine whether people are in the United States legally if there is a reason to suspect they aren't.

Although the new law doesn't go into effect until 90 days after the close of the state's legislative session, the Mexican government advised its citizens in Arizona to begin carrying all immigration documents with them immediately "to avoid needless confrontations."

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Republican, signed the controversial legislation into law Friday. Supporters say it is needed to control illegal immigration.

The advisory points Mexicans in Arizona to the state's five Mexican consulates for legal advice if they feel they have been subjected to abuse by authorities.

"As long as no clear criteria are defined for when, where and who the authorities will inspect, it must be assumed that every Mexican citizen may be harassed and questioned without further cause at any time," the advisory states.

I work daily with people who come here legally. It's not fair to them. Why do these Latinos think they deserve special privileges? Why do they think they are above the law? People say they are coming here to support their children? If people are cranking out kids they can't affort to feed and care for until age 20 or so, they are quilty of child abuse! It's just plain wrong! They need to stay in Mexico and fight to make their own country better instead of fouling up what they have and then coming here to foul up ours. Going home and using birth control or abstinence to limit family size to something they can support would be a good start instead of holding Americans hostage and trying to force us to support these irresponsibly conceived children to age 20! Overpopulation breeds poverty, hunger and crime, not to mention sanitation problems. It's about time the world demanded some personal responibility of these people!

Can NC sign up too.? Seems easy enough. Did it get everyones' attention this time?
Amazing how peoples' hearing improves dramatically when you aim right at them.

My goodness. Enact a law, and all hell breaks loose. Where was everyone's attention span when they passed the healthcare ripoff and bank bailout? Guess as long as it doesn't affect you, you could care less, right? The healthcare bill and the bank bailout doesn't affect illegals (they benefit from it), but this one sure woke them up out of all their what, 20 million taxpayer financed ziestas?

I am an immigrant and it is already the law that you carry your green card with you, so what is the problem? Americans should be grateful for what they have. I have no problem anyone pulling me over. In fact I welcome it if it is going to help solve the current problem the US has with immigration. Arizona should put it on the ballot and everyone should vote. if this is what they want., enough said.

For the people who don't get what the "big deal" is– let me give you a clue; racial profiling. I am a US citizen born to legal Mexican immigrants. You think I'll be stopped and harrassed because of the color of my skin...yes! Is that just? Absolutely, not. It is very frightening to know that I can be targeted anywhere at any time because I look "illegal". Will this law inconvenience blue-eyed, blonde haired people? Very unikely. See the problem. It's not simple to say, "if you're here legally then you have nothing to fear." How very simple-minded! There will be unintended consequences due to this bad public policy.

This is the best piece of legislation to be passed in my lifetime. The only reason Obama and all you Obama minions dont like it is that you did not design it yourself. And if you had you would probubly find a way to tax the legal citizens per head on Iligals and twist and lie just as you did the health care bill.If you liberals want all these iligals then go visit them at your local prisons which they make up 1/3 rd of the total prison population. You are weak if you feel sorry for these animalistic people. They will cut your throat wide open if given the chance. As for the ones who fatherd children here that was only to creat sympathy from loosers like you. Texas is already drafting their new version as is New Mexico and when your boy Harry Reid gets thrown out on his ass in November Nevada has alredy agreed to adopt Arizona's new law. Get over it Dem's. You screwed it all up in less than 16 months

Right or wrong something has to be done. No more free rides. Everytime they go to school or the hospital we pay for it. I can no longer afford them.
