I went to B.C. last year and the boarder patrol came on our bus and looked at every body's passport to make sure we were legal what makes them think they shouldn't have to do the same .

Post #109 @SissCoKids – AMEN! To truly stop the illegal immigrant invasion, and this IS an invasion, arrest, prosecute, and fine $$, all the businesses and people that provide jobs for the illegals. YES, without a doubt, we will pay a higher prices for products and services but if that is what it takes, as a military veteran of a foreign war, I will gladly pay the price!

Yikes! There is no, strickly speaking, native American population. They came on a land bridge across the Bering atraights into Alaska and then filtered down through North and South Ameica. So you can forget saying they should be the ones checking passports– they were "illegal" too! Who sets the immigration rules, our elected representatives that's who. If you don't like the rules become a citizen, run for office, and change them– legally. No one has the right to choose which laws they want to follow, and which ones the want to ignore. Break one and pay the price.
We do not need anarchy, rabble rousers, or fuzzy thinking morons to upset the laws of the most generous country on the planet. Either get with the program or find a place you like better... period.

The problem with that is all the latin american illegals send the vast majority of what they make back to latin america and then live 25-30 to a house or crowd 8 people in a 4 passenger vehicle to get around.

And for you Democrats that keep saying we are a nation of laws and believe the Arizona one is unconstitutional how can you say that then turn around and support illegal immigration? It just doesn't make sense.

My wife is a Colombian American, American father Colombian Mother, born in Colombia but back then if your father was American then you were American.

She and I ahve worked now for six years to get her son in Colombia a visa to legally enter the US. We could have brought him here illegally in ten days but we didn't. It is plain not right that some illegal goon can walk across the border and make me a fool for doing the legal and correct thing.

Good bye Illegal goon and good riddance. Iwill continue to abide by my country's law and work to one day bring home to America my wife's son.

It's no big deal to those who have white skin and "belong" in America. You aren't in danger of being stopped and harassed. Unless Arizona arrests blond, blue eyes illegal eastern European immigrants, then Arizona is plainly racial profiling. Living in the Pacific NW, I have encountered Russian illegals. However, you never hear about other white illegals, just those with brown skin. Maybe the Native American in Arizona should require Arizonians to take DNA tests, and prove that they are true American natives. Face it our white perfect immigrants slaughtered millions of Native Americans. We covered this land in their blood and we have the audacity to believe we're true Americans because we killed off a whole country of people to attain that status. We're here because early Americans murdered those that were here first. Really, if you think about it, all of us are illegals. Conservatives need to stop thinking they are more important than others and turn off Fox. They fear and filled with xenophobia. Get over it. Your white America is changing and soon, you will be the minority. Politically and racially. What comes around goes around, Karma will come for those who believe they have the only right to be an "American."

Some of you people just don't get basic logic, apparently.
They aren't protesting the existing law that illegals are by definition 'illegal.' They are protesting the unconstitutional approach that AZ is taking in racially stereotyping hispanics.

Not all hispanics are illegal clearly and the ones who are not should enjoy the benefits guaranteed within our constitution.

    Do you disagree?
No? It is the constitution, after all.
Then you agree with the demonstrators. Simple as that.

You either guarantee Americans (yes, all legal Americans) the right to privacy and the right against illegal search or you don't.
    Which side are you on?

Just because you're white doesn't mean you're safe from illegal stops and searches. The pot boils careful what you wish for because eventually you just might get it and it will likely affect you personally at some point, no matter what your skin color is.

Living in this country is a privilege, not an absolute right. If a citizen of another country wants to permanently live here, go through the process legally. If I wanted to live in say, Denmark, would I just book a plane ticket and go on over to get free healthcare and housing? Absolutely not!! Why not?? Because it's freakin' illegal!! I think i'm going to start shooting smack in the middle of a packed playground, so when the cops arrest me I can say, "Well officer, I think it's my civil right to get loaded in front of young children and parents...I know what the law says, but hey I really want to get high".

People *do have a choice*. Illegal immigrants made the decision to come over here and stay. No one put a gun to their head and said, "You're going and that's that." This whole issue is such a farce. It's amazing that we live in a time where the law is not longer even the law.

What are the required 'proof of citizenship documents? If the President's birth certificate is not enough.....what is? Are we now required to travel with our birth certificates and passports in addition to our driver's licenses?

To: Jenkins....29 questions...REALLY!!! WOW try 2 to 3 inches of stack papers on today's standards. Days and Weeks to be process, come on!!! A walk in the park...try years and years on today's Immigration Requirements. More than 80% of the ones consider Illegals pay their taxes, what they don't do is filled out the tax form by April 15. The IRS won't return any money that is owed to a "fake" SS#. Where does all that money go that is not accounted for?
Most of the health help goes towards children that are being born here in the USA.

Required ID is not such a big issue, if you have one. Racial profiling is not new, it just so
happens that there is a primary and I mean primary ethnic group invading our country.
They are not interested in the steps it takes to become a United States Citizen, it's just a big playground to commit crimes, and have babies in – all complete with benefits. No more. No more. Round them up and get them out.

CNN,com: deputy shot in Arizona,,, their socialist or Hispanic, sensors will not post it.
They have also turned off my ability to read other comments.
First steps towards socialism and communism.

    History Lesson: facts

How many of you remember the 2 Texas border patrol officers thrown IN JAIL FOR SEVERAL YEARS for doing their job. They shot, a well-known Mexican criminal drug runner in the ass.

The federal government said they violated his rights. So the federal government gave him permission a Mexican criminal illegal to cross into the United States Whenever he wanted to.
The 2 board patrol officers went to federal prison. HMMM

    History Lesson: facts

National Park Service Park Ranger, there has been several border patrol officers, sheriff deputies, several U.S. Ranchers, and just regular U.S. citizens shot or killed by illegal Mexicans.

It is not just Arizona five other states. California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico there has been.. HUNDREDS.. of Americans killed by illegal Mexicans.

The federal government does nothing about it.

In the federal government wants to give these illegal Mexicans amnesty citizenship and rights. WHY ?

If AMNESTY and RIGHTS is granted to Mexican illegals,,, Regular US-born Mexicans will not be safe in their own country, in THE FUTURE they will be fair game, to all the things that goes on in Mexico.

What would happen if regular US citizens were to going into Mexico and kill Mexican citizens, what would happen?

I deeply believe this should be stopped at the border; if illegal immigrants are stopped there, all these problems would be avoided. Now, to go around our cities asking for identification to ensure of our citizenship, that's immoral and strictly unethical. SB 1070 is a detriment to our country that has fought for civil rights in the past. Want to go around asking "illegal-looking" people for identification? Get ready to bring on lawsuits due to discrimination, defamation of character, and the like. NO to SB1070.

PROUD LEGAL Mexican living in the United States,
