Five headless bodies found near Acapulco

Police in Mexico's Guerrero state are investigating the killings of five men found decapitated near the resort town of Acapulco, authorities said Saturday.
The men were between 20 and 30 years old and were found in a car in the region of Costa Grande in the subdivision of Tamarindo, less than 3 miles from Acapulco, Guerrero state police officer Jorge Tellez told CNN.

All five showed signs of torture and their bodies were riddled with bullets, police said.

Three of the men were killed Friday, investigators said. They did not know when the other two died.

All were Mexicans, according to Guerrero state public security and civil protection spokesman Arturo Cuellas.

Three of the victims were identified as Jonathan Gomez Tellez, Jose Pastor Valencia and Osiris Villanueva Vargas. Police are working to determine the identities of the two others.

Guerrero state police said they did not know the motive of the killings.

Guerrero is in southern Mexico and is contentious territory for drug cartels. The state is near a major drug trafficking artery for such drugs as cocaine, which flow through Central America from Peru and Colombia.

Don't you realize that most of the "illegals who we need to keep out of our country" are people like you and me who just want to escape this gruesome, terrifying violence to try to make a life for themselves? Where is your humanity? If you lived in a city with dozens of murders a day, wouldn't you risk your life to escape across the border too?

if you cross illegally into this country, you are given healthcare, education, and countless other benefits. if you cross illegally into mexico you get 10 years in prison...whats wrong with this picture? my mother was an illegal that came into this country in the 70's. she had to learn english among other things and waited her time before she was given citizenship. THAT is the right way to come into this country.

"my mother was an illegal that came into this country in the 70's. she had to learn english among other things and waited her time before she was given citizenship" This is the right way. Obama: are you listening? Now, get moving and implement a just immigration reform. Follow Reagan's lead.

Ok, so five lettuce pickers from Mexico were caught dumping fecal matter on crops in Arizona. Could this possibly be what has happened? Were they found in Arizona with no papers! Oh what a tragedy! There were so many benefits that the Obama administration wanted to give them. How can this happen at a time when they are getting so much attention?

And people complain that Mexicans are coming across the border illegally just to get a job.

Maybe it is to avoid being decapitated.

My generation is screwed, along with our kids and any one alive in the U.S.A, I'm 16. Go outside to a local popular hangout spot and take a look around and all you'll see is gang menbers, wanna-be pretty boys and concieted girls. Now make weed legal and what do you get. A generation without a future or hope. Imagine when our parents get to old to lead the country, when we take control. The U.S, will cease to exist. My generation will end up sell the USA to Mexico for money to buy drugs. Think about that when you think of making weed legal.

Many of the comments being posted here are the usual combination of anti-Mexico hysteria and American chauvinism. Mexico's per-capita homicide rate (0.130213 per 1,000 people) is indeed higher than that of the United States (0.042802 per 1,000 people), but Canada's rate is a mere 0.0149063 per 1,000 people, which is three times less than that of the U.S. But we don't see Canadian posters suggesting that Canada or some other country invade the United States, whose murder rate (above that of countries such as Yemen, Romania and the Czech Republic, and much higher than that of other First World countries) is clearly indicative of a country that is out of control. Indeed, the United States has always been one of the world's hotspots for murder and mayhem.

Now then, where are all the weapons coming from? Even the U.S. government admits that the United States is the primary source for the weapons that are being used by Mexican cartels, which are competing for a share of the world's most lucrative drug market (again, the United States). I'm not saying that the U.S. is wholly responsible for Mexico's troubles, but this self-righteous tisk-tisking of Mexico by ignorant Americans is nauseating.

Most of you on this feed are racial profiling. Could you please tell me that it means to be an American? Is it your skin color, ethnic background, religion, WHAT? My parents are from India, I am a muslim, BUT was born in the US. Some ignorant individual told me to go back to my own country. THIS IS MY COUNTRY. I was born here. Just because I am not white does not mean that I don't belong in this country. I have the same right as anyone else who was born in the US. So, why is that I get the looks and the undeserved comments.
