Taliban announce new operation in Afghanistan

The Taliban announced Saturday they would begin a new operation against U.S. and NATO-led troops in Afghanistan, vowing that "all foreign invading forces will ultimately face defeat," according to a statement from the group.

"The Al-Faath (victory) operations will target the invading Americans, the NATO military personnel, foreign advisers, spies who pose as foreign diplomats, members of the Karzai stooge administration and members of the cabinet," the Taliban statement said.

The statement, which listed 10 other targeted groups, said the operation would begin May 10, and would use IEDs, blockades, assassinations, abductions and suicide missions.

Afghan Defense Minister Rahim Wardak said Saturday the Taliban do not have the number of fighters or the means necessary to carry out such plans.

A spokesman for NATO's International Security Assistance Force told CNN that the Taliban's "pledge to attack the very people committed to securing Afghanistan's future further demonstrates that they have nothing to offer the Afghan people but more blood and tears."

I think the Taliban and Terroists will continue to manipulate the US. We are chasing an enemy that cant be decisively eliminated and are not isolated to just Afghanistan.

It is time to let the Zionists fight their own wars. It is no coincidence that as the deaths of American soldiers have risen, there has been greater peace in Israel. I would love to see
American Zionists committing one child from each household to this war CHOSEN by
the Neo-Cons who have run foreign policy since Reagan. BUT, I believe that the American people are catching on to all of the crap that has been going on. Unfortunately, it may be too late. American prosperity may be gone forever except for the very rich.

The Taliban are a bunch of chikens-s. All they care about is killing people. They are a bunch of murderers. I f they think it is such an honor to die for allah, then stand out and start shooting. That way they could see him a lot sooner, but when they get to their paradise-the weather is going to be HOT and a lot of water will be needed.

The violence portrayed is because of a strong religion. These people need to be taught that to kill will send them to hell, not their form of Heaven. As well, that to kill themselves, with the intent of moving to a better place, are all wrong. To move to a better place you must do good things for the world. Like me, 1000+ hours of Red-Cross Volunteer work, 4 of America's most wanted, 4 senators, 2 CIA agents; the list goes on. I remember once, asking the Taliban to put down their weapons and give up, guess what, 4 Taliban generals turned themselves in! I talk, but I do not act. I know it is wrong to kill and it will send you to hell. These people are learning this the hard way. Hell has come for them, and they will see that Satan is a meer fallen angel. To god, only an angel, and a fallen one at that. I hope that this turns out for the better, I know who needs to be taken down it is the people preaching that this will send them to their form of heaven. They want to know what else is out there. Well love is! Love reign down like waters sunshine and glisten through the tears of the people who are saving us from this regretfully hating place. I pray that we use plutonium as a form of travel one day, to go to the moon; insread of trying to blow ourselves up. As well, clonning is not so wrong, they could create an enzyme that eats oil, the oil spill cleaned. What next? Limbs for people that need them, robotic heart surgery. What has this hate come to, we could be saving lives instead of using them.

We are stupid enough to keep chasing them when they are using IEDs and blowing us up with remote controls....

  7. sick and tired of that damned place

I thought that the taliban hsd been driven out once and there was a provisional government in control of things? I guess that line of thought was wrong. since none of our involvement has done nothing but waste our dollars, lives, and who knows what all, and it is apparent we will never fully defeat those *^&holes, it's time to pack up and come home where our troops belong. That country is worthliess, has no value whatso ever. Bush's intentions to retaliate for the 9/11 attack was one thing, but it went too far beyond that and shouldn't have. I say let the damned taliban have that pile of rocks and sand. Those people don't know what they want.
