Vice President Biden's son hospitalized

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden - the son of Vice President Joe Biden - is currently undergoing treatment at Delaware's Christiana Medical Center, according to a statement from the vice president's office.

"He is alert, awake, and communicating with his parents and his wife, who are with him," the statement said.

The statement did not indicate the nature of Biden's illness.

    Hope Beau is doing well. I was caught up in the secret service detail this morning on my way to work. I picked them up in Montchanin all the way through to Beau's home which is 1 block from my office. thoughts and prayers to the family.

    Hey Tom, if you really wondered how he scored the job, you could have googled it and discovered that he was ELECTED by the people of his state in 2006 (which happens to be before his dad made Vice President). However, it seems clear that instead of really wondering how he scored the job, you really wanted to imply that something inappropriate had transpired.
