Man who admitted killing two teens gets multiple life terms

Registered sex offender John Albert Gardner III was sentenced to three consecutive life terms Friday for the deaths of two teens and the attempted rape of a third victim in a case that has sparked calls for stiffer penalties against sex offenders.

Gardner, 31, pleaded guilty April 16 to the murders of San Diego, California-area teens Chelsea King and Amber Dubois. He also pleaded to assault with intent to commit rape of a third person.

Gardner was arrested on February 28, three days after he abducted, raped and stabbed 17-year-old King, and buried her body in a shallow grave, according to court documents.  She was last seen alive leaving Poway High School. Her car was found at Rancho Bernardo Community Park, where she was known to run on the trails.

Dubois was last seen alive walking to Escondido High School on February 13, 2009. She was considered a missing person for more than a year, until Gardner led authorities to her remains in March in exchange for assurances that it would not be used against him in court.

Ship him to Saudi Arabia. First they'll cut off his ****. Then, they will drag this slime off to the public square where families will come out to watch him being beheaded. It really is a picnic atmosphere and a cause for celebration, indeed! But, justice will certainly be served, unlike here. This bloody JOKE of a justice system makes me gag!

My heart goes out to Brent and Kelly King. I admire their eloquence and restraint they showed in court. Their loss is a loss to humanity as a whole. There is an angel in heaven right now waiting for her family with outstretched arms. My love and prayers are with you.

As much as i would like to see this Animal suffer for the rest of his life, the reality is that he will get to stay in a nice warm cell with 3 meals a day and no doubt have his own TV, Computer and Video Games to play.

So lets not waste a fortune on keeping him alive for years and years.

He has no right to live and should be put down asap.

A lot of strong opinions, too strong actually, I mean, if you're not the girls parents or something, then you're just someone in the society and being brutal, for instance, where would we be if we were the type who skin people or hang them... well you all read the stuff, and there can be no room for this kinda crazy behavior. They did very good, he got the worse possible punishment, he'll take it where the sun don't shine as long as he lives. And we still get to keep what separates us from animals.

It cost more to execute people because of the cost af appeals. If you keep the PrI&8 locked up he will die anyway, but cheaper, and think about it, If i has the choice of going
to bed and not waking up, instead of the daily life in jail, I would go to sleep, but hanging, or
his head being cut of would be a different choice.

THEY SHOULD MAKE SURE HE IS IN THE PRISON GENERAL POPULATION WITH ARTICLES OF HIS CRIMES IN THE DAILY NEWS PAPERS AND JUST LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE

My suggestion is this: Seeing as he has been spared from the death sentence then he should be placed in with the prison's general population and his fellow inmates should be informed of who he is and why he is there.

To those that are concerned with him not getting the death penalty....do not worry...those that are in prison do not like child killers....and more than likely they will take care of him behind bars.....and even if he were to be given the death penalty, lets face it, he would be on death row forever!!! Either way we as a state are still paying for him.

Keep him locked up in solitary confinement for about one year and then execute him as harsly as possible and make this known to the entire world that this is what we do when such a heinous crime(s) is committed.

Why spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to keep this creep locked up where he can watch TV, read books, exercise, play cards, etc. Yes, this is exactly what these monsters do while we taxpayers suffer the consequences – not to mention what those poor families have to live through.

What he did was wrong and he should be punished. BUT if we take care of abused children when they are still children then maybe we won't have all these sick people around. The government needs to pay for funding to help children receive counseling. This MUST be required for all abused children. There are so many abused children that receive nothing and grow up with so many problems and eventually end up in jail. They should receive help no matter what.

Did you know it costs more taxpayer money to put someone to death (legal fees, death row, appeals, etc) than it does to keep someone in prison. Odd fact. Let him suffer in prison. Prisons wouldnt be SOOO full if people caught with simple drug possessions were treated instead of incarcerated. Everyone knows you come out of prison a more hardened criminal anyway. Go after the dealers and producers, not the users!!!!
