Whale freed from fishing net has died, official says

A gray whale has died two days after rescuers near Los Angeles, California, cut away fishing net that was wrapped around its tail and a fin, an official with the with National Marine Fishery Service said.

According to CNN affiliate KCAL, the whale was spotted Monday, swimming slowly in the shallow harbor at Dana Point. On Wednesday a disentanglement team from Sea World removed the commercial fishing nets and ropes, and the whale appeared to head out to sea.

Joe Cordaro, a wildlife biologist with the fishery service, says it is the 10th gray whale this season to die during migration.

Tyler's comment is uncalled for. They did everything they could.

Denmark asks to resume humpback whale hunt
FUNCHAL, Portugal – Denmark on Tuesday officially requested permission to resume hunting humpback whales off Greenland, in a move that has angered environmentalists.

Please go to NRDC or Pacific Whale Foundation to learn more about commercial whaling. Hurry, there's a meeting in June at the International Whaling Commission that could legitimize whaling.

I'm so sad about the whale. Mike is right, though: Tyler is an idiot — it shows with his poor spelling. "How about you let you other "..... and "Unless your".... shouldn't it be "Unless you're..." etc. Never fails to amaze me how morons get on to spew their idiocy and can't even spell things correctly. pathetic.

    I agree with Tyler.
Thing is, this is just free advertising and publicity for them. They are a business.
Boycott Busch gardens, Lowes, Lays food co.
Free the whales...catch up to the rest of the civilized world.

    1) They never said the entanglement caused the whale's death
    2) Wales are not immortal – it could've just plain died

Oh the poor whale. It is so sad the whale died. This should be a lesson to fishermen not to leave nets in the sea.

To all you people who don't have anything to say but Tyler bash.

I have to draw the line at bush gardens I love my Budwiser. As far as the whale goes nature has a way of taking care of predators that over eat their food supply amd as long as we eat sea food there will be unintended accidents like this.
