A U.S. soldier was killed Friday in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan, the Pentagon said.
Army Spc. Denis D. Kisseloff, 45, of Saint Charles, Missouri, died at Forward Operating Base Shank of wounds suffered in an attack involving rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire.
The base is in Logar province, not far from Kabul. He was assigned to the 1141st Engineer Company based in Kansas City, Missouri.
