NORAD: U.S. jets intercept ultralight plane from Mexico

Two F-16 military fighter jets intercepted an ultralight aircraft that flew into Arizona from Mexico on Sunday and tracked it until the ultralight returned to Mexico, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said.

A statement by the NORAD command center in Colorado said the ultralight crossed into U.S. airspace just after 6 a.m. Arizona time (9 a.m. ET).

The F-16s were launched to intercept it, and they shadowed it for 30
minutes before the ultralight returned to Mexico, according to the NORAD
statement. No other details were immediately available.

    Even if we gave back what we took, you would just then hop that fence and live in America again so lets stop pretending this is about land or some other BS reason, North america is now know across the world as the United states of America there are 50 Stars that represents 50 states on our wonderful flag. Something our kids can no longer wear on a holiday that has nothing to do with our country. Keep pushing cause one day someone is going to push back and I for one am hoping that day is soon my Illegal Friend.

    There is a need for comprehensive immigration reform. We have to be realistic. Yes the Native Americans were here first. So, what? Just because an illegal broke the law "they" did it for a particular reason. The group identified as "they" are the ones that work, that pay bills, that have tried to assimilate to the American life as much as they can they would pay taxes if they could. What they don't realize is that once here they would not want to go back. "They" do not include drug smugglers, criminals, degenerates. But these exist in every society. Leave the racism and hatred at home. You have got to be realistic. They are here. Can you even begin to imagine the economical impact? The money is going to come from somewhere and this somewhere is the American Taxpayer. This will pull tax money earmarked for other things essential to the positive progression of our lives. With an estimated 12-14 million illegal immigrants don't you think we could implement a path towards legalization at a cost no less than $20,000-$30,000? To offset the taxes that were never collected for the income they could never declare? This would create jobs. Surpluses. Positive impact. We could secure our border even more with the funding. Those of you who say "shoot them all" or something to that effect wouldn't dare put your name by that statement. Your anonymity is your mask. Think of the big picture not the short-term solution. Get your facts straight. To whoever said illegal immigrants were the biggest burden on Welfare and other government programs can you please lay some facts out so I can truly believe you?

    I have said it before and I will say it again. People who knowingly hire illegals should be subject to RICO laws and sent to jail. As for folks who say americans wont do the work the illegals will do well, if you would admit that the wage your paying is a not a livable and would pay a livable wage americans would probably work at that job. As for someone over seas doing the job for less if we charge tarriff and make countries pay for the priviledge to do business in america and not let the working man and women pay a dispropotionate amout of taxes in comparision to agra business or any other business under the color of the flag then we could make some progress in immigration in america. Lastly we all came from somewhere in the world whether it be the 17th, 18th,19th, 20th or 21st century.What it really shows to me is how selfish some people really are. remember this, the fence is only as strong as the weakest link.

    Poser, Think NAFTA. Think Colonization. Think continued theft of Europeans and their descendants. WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION SINCE 1492. WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING TERRORISM SINCE 1492. Not only are we an older more advanced civilization, we gave the world silver, gold, chocolate, chewing gum, corn, beans, tomatos, chilli, onions, color t.v. rubber, semasiographic writing systems that make your computer functionable, guerrilla warfare tactics. We taught Europeans the BENEFITS of taking a daily bath. When the Spaniards first invaded they thought it was a sin to bathe more than once a year. Mexicans had two baths, a hygenic one and a ritual sweat bath.

    This is is a matter of national security. Plain and simple. Don't let people convince you that you are racist because you want strong border protection. A country must ptotect it's borders or it will cease to exist. This air plane should of been shot down for violating U.S. air space.

    @Reality

    The problem is that we've heard it before. Last time we gave amnesty we were told that we'd defend the border and this wouldn't be an issue ever again. Today it's a HUGE issue far eclipsing that of the past. So today, people like you are at it AGAIN, "Oh, we need to do something, we need immigration reform, we will defend the borders." YEAH RIGHT. Prove you can defend the borders, prove you can stop this flow of illegal immigrants. Once you do that we can talk. I'm not going to accept another "comprehensive" plan which gives amnesty and NEVER does anything about protecting the border. These "comprehensive" plans are nonsense, they give amnesty then never follow through on any of the defensive measures that are promised.

    Yeah, we're all racist in America. Latinos had whites and Blacks, Blacks hate Whites and Latinos, Whites hate Latinos and Blacks. Its amazing we have so much in common. See how crazy al your racist rants sound. Stop acting like you are owed something and start living and working for what you want in life. Respect isn't given, its earned. For some reason all the new immigrants forget what the immigrants 100 years ago went through. That neighborhood you live in in New York has had more generations of immigrants than you could ever imagine.

    You seem to be joyed over the thought. It will be interesting to see how you feel if this ever comes to fruition though seeing as how your border will be the next to be flooded by Americans and others in the land. I'm sure you'll just let us all in and "work together" to support millions of people increases, eh?

    Nice analogy, Doug. The problem with AZ's new law is not that no one wants a secured border but rather that American citizens will be harrassed and possibly detained for looking "illegal". Perhaps the law should instead require that all people living or traveling through the state carry US passports or visas, then all will be inconvenienced and hurried off to jail, not just brown people.

    the ironic thing is how Mexico treats its illegal entrants from Guatemala, the Mexican police rob the Guatemalans and murder them, but of course you never hear about how Mexico treats their illegals, only about horrible US policy

    then of course the idiotic indigenous argument.....oh, we were here first, waa, waa...epic fail...lol
