NORAD: U.S. jets intercept ultralight plane from Mexico

Two F-16 military fighter jets intercepted an ultralight aircraft that flew into Arizona from Mexico on Sunday and tracked it until the ultralight returned to Mexico, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said.

A statement by the NORAD command center in Colorado said the ultralight crossed into U.S. airspace just after 6 a.m. Arizona time (9 a.m. ET).

The F-16s were launched to intercept it, and they shadowed it for 30
minutes before the ultralight returned to Mexico, according to the NORAD
statement. No other details were immediately available.

sooner than later california will have a big earthquake and break off of both the united states and mexico to form our own country with hawaii and alaska (purely business for their oil cause we all know they bring nothing else to the table). As a result, mexico and the rest of south america will be named the 49th and 50th states of america. hahahahahahaha

Let me get this straight; NORAD can track and intercept a single ultralight, which is little more than a lawn mower with wings, flying in the desert yet on 9/11 they were completely unable to track 4 huge airliners who were off course for hours flying around DC and NYC.

    Got it, makes perfect sense!

They did track them. What were they supposed to do, shoot them down with all the passengers on board....brilliant.

Your comment is based on ignorance. There were no fighter jets near the hijacked planes.

Living on the AZ-Mexico border, I can tell you that ultralights are the "new technology" for drug smuggling. Oh, yeah, plus they're fun!
