Two members of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force were killed Monday in two separate improvised explosive device attacks, ISAF said in a statement.
One of the service members died in western Afghanistan, while the second died in southern Afghanistan, ISAF said. The nationalities of the service members were not released.
Earlier Monday, the Italian Defense Ministry said two Italian soldiers were killed and another two wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in northeast Afghanistan. The soldiers were part of a four-vehicle convoy heading to the Bala Murghab village, northeast of Herat, when the attack took place, the defense ministry said.
Bala Murghab is actually in northwest Afghanistan near the border with Turkmenistan, not northeast...great research CNN
