U.S. President Barack Obama said Wednesday during a meeting with Mexican President Felipe Calderon that the two leaders have agreed to work toward a U.S.-Mexico border that is "modern, secure and efficient." TRANSLATION: We will continue to do nothing about the border, but will expend much energy in condemning opponents of illegal immigration.

Someone finally woke up Obama. He's sending 1200 National Guard troops to the Arizona border. About time

Give him to the parents of the girl, let justice be served in the old ways.

I think a little frontier justice is just about what we need at this point. Give the 1200 guardsmen weapons and ammo and let them shoot back at the drug and human smugglers.

We, the U.S. has to take drastic measures to remove illegal aliens since they have found so many ways of sneaking into the country. What makes illegals different than any other person committing a crime? If the Mexican President doesn't like it...too bad...This is America, not Mexico. We don't dictate how your laws are enforced, don't try to tell us how to enforce our laws. Better yet, patrol your borders better so so many of your citizens won't enter illegally.

I can see now that my vote for the President was a misdirected expression of frustration.

I love this! Or my vote was a "misguided" attempt for change we could count on?

Guest worker programs sound touchy-feely, but the money earned is all taken back to the worker's family in another country, NOT spent here in the US. Some of the comments above about racism...the writers are absolutely correct, there is racism involved and it's coming from those opposed to Arizona's upcoming illegal immigrant law. So, posture all you want, thump your chest until the cows come home...and none of it will do a single illegal immigrant any good. This issue has hit a sore spot with Americans of all races, colors, and creeds across the entire USA, and I believe I can safely predict there will be major personnel changes in our political structure come next election day. I am as outraged as Governor Brewer over Clinton's remarks about this issue in a foreign country, before discussing it at home, and Obama's plan to subvert law of our land for political expediency of a minority group will have him checking the 'for rent' ads much sooner than he realizes. Just a thought. Knightsix
