The NBA Draft will be held on June 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City but the silly season for projecting the picks is already underway. SI.com’s Ian Thomsen got into the act this week with the first version of his 2010 Mock Draft. Thomsen has Kentucky guard John Wall going to the Wizards followed by Evan Turner (Sixers), Derrick Favors (Nets), DeMarcus Cousins (Timberwolves), and Al-Farouq Aminu (Kings). The NBA won’t get back to playing until Saturday – the Celtics and Lakers are both up 2-0 in their series - but there is baseball and an NHL playoff game tonight (all times Eastern):
Flyers at Canadians (7:00 p.m., Versus)
The Flyers are two wins away from their first Stanley Cup finals appearance since 1997 having won six straight games after losing the first three games of their previous series against Boston. The Canadians have yet to score a goal in the series as the best-of-seven series shifts to Montreal for Game 3.
Rays at Yankees (7:05 p.m., Sunshine)
The American’s League’s two best teams meet in New York for the second of a two-game series. Last night the Rays broke a seven-game losing streak in New York with a 10-6 win. Tampa Bay is 16-4 on the road while handing New York its fifth loss in 18 home games this year.
