Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt part ways

Heidi Montag of "The Hills" has split from her husband and reality show co-star, Spencer Pratt, the celeb's spokeswoman told CNN.

For now, the split is a separation and not a divorce, Lexi Vonderlieth said.

“Yes the split is real," Vonderlieth said in an e-mail. "Like to say separation for now. As you can imagine it is crazy right now. She's trying to lay low the next couple days. What I can say is that it's a separation for now, not divorce.”

TMZ first reported the separation Friday afternoon.

The couple, known as "Speidi" among fans, entered the public eye on the hit MTV series "The Hills" and reportedly married in 2008.

- CNN's Brittany Kaplan contributed to this report.

That is the best news I have heard all day. Spencer is the biggest tool and she is way to hot to be with him.

It is because of people like you that these two people are famous. For what absoutely nothing. She looks like a bad blowup doll, and he looks like a predator.

Hahaaa! I was wondering about that too. Thanks for the laugh! I love your comment.I do not personally know of one single person who could be called a "fan," not among my friends, anyway. Not one of them probably even knows who these foolish robots are.I'm embarrassed to admit that I do know, though I'm not really sure how I know this. Isn't she the one with an album out that her husband, who is a total tampon, declared would be "bigger than 'Thriller'"?Yeah, that hasn't happened yet, ya useless sack of crazy!

Does anyone know how to spell anymore? Half of these posts do not (it is not don't) have correct spelling for any of their wording or proper sentencing. One half of this country is retarded and the other half is out working that much harder to compensate for those that are retarded.

I read the article becuse I was bored and nothing more. While I have no idea who these people are & have never watched the show, RJ has a point. I as well "speak for myself" and claiming to speak for others or give them their opinion already has a name – Religion.

She was a pretty girl but she is nuts with all that plastic surgery she had done. I have noticed people who get plastic surgeries, hair implants, breast implants, etc. think they will be "Happy" if they get these procedures done but it never works for them. If your unhappy inside changing your exterior rarely works.

Plenty of people who get hair implants and breast implants are happier with the results.

they are happy with the immediate results, which is why plastic surgery works so well. but then she'll discover that there are a few more tweaks to be done before she can be satisfied. then the whole cycle continues where her millions of dollars go into "perfection," and the process will never end. fortunately, insurance does not cover cosmetic surgery!

I had the misfortune of stumbling onto a broadcast of "The Hills" and couldn't believe how pathetically stupid that show is. Who watches such mind numbing trash? A bigger question is why MTV or any other Network would waste money on producing a program like that? The plot lines make no sense and the actor's appear to have an IQ score that is barely in the triple digits. If the morons on that show accurately represent todays generation, then I weep for the future and America needs to put a metaphorical gun to its head.

    • Khristina

No, that is not the representation of today's youth...Unfortunately, it's now even WORSE that that. Today, our kids are looking up to Snookie and the rest of the pathetic trash in "Jersey Shore". Now THAT is absolutely TERRIFYING!

i absolutely refuse to watch that garbage. none of those people are role models for my generation in any way, shape or form. i think most people will watch that show for the comedic value since the majority of the characters have had and will continue to have trashy, self-centered, narrow-minded, materialistic lives...pathetic
