Report: Van der Sloot moved to attorney general's office

[Updated 10:05 a.m.] Peru murder suspect Joran van der Sloot, a longtime suspect in the disappearance of an American teen in Aruba, was transferred from a police facility to the national attorney general's office Thursday morning, according to images broadcast by CNN affiliate America TV in Peru.

Peruvian TV earlier reported that he was transferred to a medical facility, which is across the street from the national attorney general's office.

[Updated at 9:50 a.m.] Peru murder suspect Joran van der Sloot, a longtime suspect in the disappearance of an American teen in Aruba, was transferred from a police facility to a medical facility Thursday morning, according to images broadcast by CNN affiliates in Peru.

[Posted at 9:00 a.m.] The attorney for Peru murder suspect Joran van der Sloot said he's going to ask the judge in charge of the case to strike down his client's confession because he was not being properly represented at the time he was interrogated, lawyer Maximo Altez told CNN affiliate Panamericana TV in an interview that aired Thursday.

Van der Sloot, a longtime suspect in the disappearance of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway five years ago in Aruba, was arrested last week in connection with the slaying of a 21-year-old Peruvian woman. The body of Stephany Flores was found in a hotel room registered to van der Sloot. Hotel surveillance video shows the pair entering his room and van der Sloot leaving alone more than three hours later.

Altez said Flores attacked van der Sloot first, after he confronted her for going through his computer. Police said Flores was badly beaten and suffered a broken neck.

Why is this topic listed under Justice. I hope Peru's laws are not as stupid as ours. Oh I am so sorry I confessed to a crime I committed.

Intruded into his personal life by using his computer? That is Crap! Why was she only in her underwear when found? She fought back on his advances of course. Since he is claiming that it was because of the computer use, then surely her finger prints will be on the laptop. No fingerprints...then he is lying for sure! I don't think that the judges will be too impressed with all his lies that come out during the trial. His credibilty will be completely shot! Hasta La Vista Van der sloot!!

He is really weaving a tangled web and at least he has finally got caught in it. He has only incriminated himself more by saying she found out about him on the laptop. Why should he have been so angry that he killed her if he didn't kill Natalee?? What a bad liar (among his many other faults, of course)!

This guy is a sociopath. He is going to lie every time he opens his mouth if it will benefit his cause. He has no conscience and he will never admit to another crime. I'm surprised he admitted to this murder (even with the camera footage of the two of them together) except for the fact that he knew he would get a lighter sentence. I would also bet that he isn't stupid either. Most sociopaths have a high IQ. I really hope this is the end for him.

Did anyone else hear how he was in Colombia and 2 girls are missing there also? He was at a Casiono with them. I think someone needs to retrace his steps ASAP.

Unfortunately they are never going to find Natalie's body if it was thrown in the ocean – the currents are WAY to strong there. He probably did the same thing to Natalie as he did to this young girl. Very sad! My thoughts and prayers go out to both girls families.

I do hope justice will be served but there is one important lesson that most of us overlooked. Why did this girl "Ms Flores" went into a stranger's hotel? These girls behaviors put themselves in a "risky" situation. Parents of these two girls do have to take the responsibility of their failed parenthood.

Hard to believe.....he had no 'password' to safeguard all his precious and 'oh-so-private' info? IF she did see info., she probably saw entries/pictures of other victims and he just had to kill her, too!! In Peru, he's 'guilty until found innocent' and innocent he is not. Everyone is right, the psycho will not come out of this one standing and alive.

    1) Torture is bad and world society has decided it is also a crime - even if you do it to a murderer
    2) If you say torture is okay then you are bad as any other criminal no matter who you say it is okay to torture (cutting off toes etc).
    3) If you murder a murderer or allow him/her to be murdered, then you are a murderer - no better then the original miscreant by definition.
    4) In a just society, punishment must be just and the society must decide what that is – even if the society decides the punishment is death that is not murder - it is sanctioned ending of a life according to due process and societal norms. Even if you don’t agree with the death penalty you have to see the logic of that statement and understand that though extreme it is not murder in the sense this person probably murdered.
    5) It is extremely depressing to see the many people using this horrible crime to recommend additional horrible crimes be committed against the criminal - assuming that he is guilty which it looks as if he is.
    6) I'd wager many of you are Christians or members of other religions - in that case you should hang your head in shame. In the 3 great religions of the world, the statement: God is just, comes before any other description.
    7) Justice needs to be done - society will decide what that is - thank God in heaven you people with the reptilian morals will not.
    8) I would further wager that many of you describing the worst punishments lament the moral decay of society - you are the reason for that decay. Ethics and morality go hand in hand - they are important and protect us all. Evolve please – the rest of us are waiting and if you don’t we will eventually be ethically required to marginalize you in the extreme. Remember, Christ said the meek shall inherit the earth – think about it – He knew what He was talking about.

  12. Hate the game, not the player

The Adventures of Joran might see a temporary stop after his 5 year anniversary turned sour with Ms. Flores Ramirez. Support the real-life teenage mix of Mystery/Dexter and join his fanclub at http://www.tmf.nl/groepen/joranvande/. A body was left this time, but maybe he has enough creditline to get his laywer to creat a new suckout 😉 Worse case scenario? His next 'pickup anniversary' will be in 25 years. Stay tuned for more.. You know you want to!

Law isn't the same as justice. It's just a high stakes power(poker?)game. No matter the country and it's legal system. Winners go free, losers go to jail. Let's see if Joran has another Get Out of Jail Free card.

    • He brings shame to the game.

You know the Facebook fanclub at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=45811787157 is a lot more popular right?

Joran is just chump change. Big company's like BP show true gameplay. They make 3 billion a year from us petrol junkies so can afford a 15 billion bill. With a bit of luck the mishap with Deepwater Horizon can be turned into media attention for the company and they will be making profit within the next year. And the world will forget about the oilspill within 1 month with some decent media spin tactics. Now THAT is how you settle problems :))

People who believe in things like a soul and morals are just sheep for the slaughter. Three words: He. Got. Caught.

  13. Think!

Can’t anyone see that everything is just to convenient with this whole case??? Please don’t get confused. I am not saying joran may not have killed flores but cant anyone see what is happening?
The Holloways intended to catch joran at any costs!!! The fbi…well everybody knows how dirty they are…no surprise right?
There are so many lose pieces in this case and you don’t have to be a legal mind to see. It seems odd that flores would be searching jorans computer at that hour of the morning. By then she must have been up for about 24 hours or close to it…..does that sound like a normal thing to do at 6 in the morning back at some guys hotel room after hanging out in a casino all night? What would have motivated her to spy on him by checking his computer without his permission and when he left the room. What was she looking for? Did she know something about him? If she did know something about him why then would she go back to his room? Was this an undercover operation gone wrong? After-all the fbi and the Holloways knew exactly where he was!
If you ask me, I think this whole thing from beginning to end …starting with the extortion was set up by the Holloways/fbi to catch joran at any cost. I believe they contacted him and offered him money for information…poor naïve fool… whether he did it or not….jumped to it! They made sure he ended up in a country with the money they gave him….that if he committed a crime there that they nicely set up…that he would be finished!!!!
You think you know what goes on behind the fbi doors etc……but we don’t have a clue!!!!!! Its dirty I imagine! Of course I am sorry for the loss of both lives…but the Holloways are dirty people too!
There are so many missing pieces….i ask everyone to think and not get carried away because a few big mouths have already given their opinions without thinking clearly!

Joran is a rat and walked into the scenario's off FBI. The FBI payed publick money to Joran while he had asked the money in change for etc. to Beth Holloway. So, with this money he flied to Peru in the arm off the fall (FBI)
He did all for money, sigaretts and drugg's and drinks, to live with his secret off psychotic behavior.

Within 15 years Joran van der Sloot is director off... etc. You know him all. Sorry !!! He's saved again for FBI that drived him to Mugeal Castro Castro, to try alive with rules shuttable to play and live alone with the law off life and death.

Stupid, stupid killer !! Bye bye Joran, see yourself and your neighbour with the mirror, and find out the differences there.
