Gen. David Petraeus told CNN's Dana Bash Thursday that "it's a privilege to serve" as the new U.S. commander in Afghanistan. But "it's very sad that I have to assume it in this manner. We obviously all have enormous respect and gratitude to Gen. McChrystal for all that he did. He's played a key role in helping get the inputs right in Afghanistan."
"Privelage" you've got to be kidding me...
Apparently someone was tired or in a hurry to get the article out.
Proofreading at its best right there. =)
The reporters are always in a hurry to be the first to report something without giving a second thought that it may cause problems in certain quarters and particularly related with security and war. A fine 4 star General McChrytal has to go this way is very sad and reporter should be held responsible. It is like this: I invite to my home and then you go back and report against me . It should not have been this way. What reporter got was of few minutes of fame ?
