Russian spy suspect missing in Cyprus, police say

A suspected Russian spy is "missing" after being arrested in Cyprus and released on bail, a police spokesman told CNN Wednesday.

Authorities arrested Robert Christopher Metsos, 55, in Larnaca after an Interpol "red notice" was served on him, Cypriot police told CNN Tuesday.

He was released on bail pending further proceedings but was told not to leave the country and was ordered to check in with police every evening, police said.

He did not check in Wednesday and police are searching for him, a spokesman said.

They let a SPY out on bail? Did they honestly think he wouldn't leave? haha....wow. Is there a Razzie award for cops; cause I'd like to make a nomination.

There are hundreds of these on both sides. Now Russia will pick out 10 from the USA in Moscow and arrest them. Then we will quietly exchange theirs for ours. Just another day at the office for all of these people...

Whoever ordered to release, the person we say spy, is really the dump of the dumbest on earth . We hope there is not any deal that has made between This Administration and Russian Goverment when they both had lunch together. Sound like This Administration is willing to kiss The Russian Goverment ass to make up for what we defense our allied who is Georgia country. Itold this Administration and again DO NOT TRUST THE COMMUNIST COUNTRIES SUCH AS RUSSIAN CHINA N KOREA AND CUBA. Their faces change because they want us to invest money in their countries but their policies are still the same. This Administration are so nieve. We need to excercise our power in this Nov election to vote them out of offices please.

News flash: They let him go on purpose. They monitor him to see what he does, where he goes, and who he contacts after finding out he's been compromised. This way they get more information and build their case. They did the same thing with the failed time square dude.
