Reports: LeBron heading for the Heat

If media reports are right LeBron James may not be playing against Dwayne Wade -- but with him instead.

Published reports say LeBron James is planning to join the Miami Heat.

Newsday's Alan Hahn tweeted the news just after midnight.

ESPN followed Hahn's report with its own, also saying James is heading for Miami to join fellow stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

If the reports are accurate, the Heat will have hit the jackpot in the most frenzied talent chase in NBA history, landing the three top free agents.Things could still change of course. Sports Illustrated's Ian Thomsen doesn't believe the reports and thinks James will return to Cleveland.

Eatocracy blog: Dear LeBron, come for the hoops, stay for the grub

Wherever he decides to play, Us Magazine says LeBron has a big party planned in South Beach this weekend.

Since he knows his new deal will pay him anywhere from about $96 to 125 million LeBron can afford the South Beach soiree' and a new place to live. CNNMoney shows us there are no shortage of housing options in his price range.

James is unlikely to confirm or deny any of this today since he's planning to announce his decision in a prime-time special on ESPN tonight.

If this is true than you can put James into the follower category, The King follows Wade along to his team? If that was me I would be leading the way not following 2 other guys that's for sure. The Bulls are the team where James would BE THE MAN and it would be his team Miami will be a disaster move for his career, Cleveland being hung out to dry on national tv
That's a real great idea. Gotta love stupidism

PRNEWS from Steve Jobs: "Because Lebron James is an utter prodigy, the modern day messiah and blessed sacred gift to all of mankind and mankinds history, we have decided to make a iPhone 4-GOLD LBJ version. Completely designed by Lebron and available Worldwide. Unfortunately though, the phone will ONLY vibrate, because it does not come equipped with any RINGS...."

How bout LeBron delays his announcement until tomorrow so folks in the Bay Area, and around the country, can grieve and move past the Mehserle trial verdict.

Who f^&*ing cares. Another rich overpaid celebrity. This why America sucks. We pay the wrong people (athletes, rock stars, and celebrities lots of money they don't deserve.

When men and women of the police, fire department, and the military, who work in the worst of conditions and put their lives on the line every day are paid more than pro sports jocks, then maybe I'll care. When I can buy tickets for games for $5 or $10 and take my family and friends to a game, maybe I'll care. I think anyone who gets excited about millionaire jocks or who supports/enables them by paying for tickets at current prices should examine their values. Much of our country is struggling to keep a roof over our heads and we're supposed to get excited about obscene salaries for athletes? I know who my heroes are, and with the exception of Pat Tillman, none of them are jocks.

Easy people..... at the close of the day lebron is just a man ..... that's right human..... and so are each of us......whether we want to act like it or not. Shame on us for building these people (humans) up to be almost immmortal we worship them tell our kids to love them ... be like them....build our fortunes and lives around them... if it not lebron it's brett favre... or lindsay lohan or jennifer anniston or nicholas cage or OJ ( oh No)... angelina ..OPRA or jay Leno, mike vick Arod .... .mel gibson. They are just people ....they have problems ..but they are not the problem ...we ARE. We love building them up and tearing them down when they do or say what they want ... not what we want. That's our fault ... we should be our own stars or pick some one else...make our kids better or our towns cities or country. There are 300 million people in this country I'm sure someone else can play ball just as good or better than LBJ or Bird MJ Bill Russell John Stockton, Magic, Wilt Chamberlain or act and sing better than some of these other jokers.... How about let's stop tearing each other down foolishly.... it's really a waist of time...... besides the sun will come up tomorrow ....and yes in Cleveland too .... who knows maybe they will be better off .....maybe they'll learn not to put all their eggs in one basket......maybe they'll move on .... as a matter fact they are human ...they already have.
