If media reports are right LeBron James may not be playing against Dwayne Wade -- but with him instead.
Published reports say LeBron James is planning to join the Miami Heat.
Newsday's Alan Hahn tweeted the news just after midnight.
ESPN followed Hahn's report with its own, also saying James is heading for Miami to join fellow stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
If the reports are accurate, the Heat will have hit the jackpot in the most frenzied talent chase in NBA history, landing the three top free agents.Things could still change of course. Sports Illustrated's Ian Thomsen doesn't believe the reports and thinks James will return to Cleveland.
Eatocracy blog: Dear LeBron, come for the hoops, stay for the grub
Wherever he decides to play, Us Magazine says LeBron has a big party planned in South Beach this weekend.
Since he knows his new deal will pay him anywhere from about $96 to 125 million LeBron can afford the South Beach soiree' and a new place to live. CNNMoney shows us there are no shortage of housing options in his price range.
James is unlikely to confirm or deny any of this today since he's planning to announce his decision in a prime-time special on ESPN tonight.
Lebron, at his conference tonight, will annouce his retirement from the NBA. He will train and focus all of his attention for the 2014 world cup.
lol, that would be great
Nope, he'll announce his retirement and play baseball. He'll realize that baseball isn't his thing, and come back and play basketball again.
Stephen A Smith of Fox Sports reported this last week and no one is giving him proper credit...not cool
Who cares?
I just hope this story breaks right before his stupid show tonight. What a waste. If anyone watches it, they are real losers. Get a life.
I can't watch because I have to work, but I will set my VCR to tape it.
If you can't take the Heat, stay in Cleveland you Lebronie.
Finally, The Rock, has come back to cnn.com!!!!
...lebron should go to lakers, if he wants to win a championship....
The Lakers do not win championships...Kobe wins championships
I'd like to LeBron James stay in Cleveland and win at least one Championship. That'll speak volumes of him as an individual. GO CAVS!!!!!
Ditto. Staying with the home team would show a lot of integrity. Grit. Determination. Pride. I'm crossing my fingers, but as a lifelong Cleveland fan, I'm fearing the worst. Go Browns.
These comments are bordering on illiterate. All of you should go to summer school to learn to write in English.
He will be Wade's side kick, Wade is the "King" on the team
The Knicks can't win off the court or on the court. I was really hoping the Knicks would get LeBron. Seems like hope is all they ever do in New York is hope. Just never win. Well at least this time they tried. I'm going to go cry now.
Go Knicks
Geaux Saints
Let's Go Mets
Lebron is not going to Miami. He's not gonna want to share his glory with Bosh and Wade. He's a 1 man team and if D. West is out of Cavs, he's DEFINITELY staying in Ohio.
staying in ohio = epic failure
He is going to the Washington Bullets.
Dude – I love the Baconator. You just made me hungry
He's going to the Sacramento Kings...Just came over the wire. Yawn...
Oh, it's the Sacramento Rivercats he going to play for!! Yippie!!
