Rising pressure on BP well cap a positive sign

Pressure was rising Friday as BP continued testing its breached Gulf of Mexico well with no evidence so far that other leaks exist, said BP's Senior Vice President Kent Wells.

Wells said pressure was up to 6,700 psi (pounds per square inch) inside the well's capping stack. BP was looking for an optimal 8,000 psi, which would indicate that no oil was being forced out through a leak and that the well was undamaged and able to withstand the pressure of the cap.

The "well integrity test" began Thursday after two days of delays, first as government scientists scrutinized testing procedures and then as BP replaced a leaking piece of equipment known as a choke line.

the BP test has clearly shown, that, the BOP and everything under the BOP, have had NO oil leaking (since, both, was made, by design, to resist to very high oil pressures) while the wellhead top has been completely closed by the new containment cap (whose MAIN PURPOSE isn't to close the wellhead, but, later, to collect and pump up the oil and SELL it...) and, that, was PERFECTLY KNOW by BP also BEFORE this test
    .
THAT is what I've ALWAYS SAID in last TWO MONTHS in my article about the oil spill:

so, WHY hasn't BP used a modified version of its giant Genesis GXP 2500 idraulic shears (or the containment cap used now) to do the SAME THING but TWO MONTHS AGO and BEFORE the terrific disaster in the Gulf ?????????????????
    .
could FBI and the Press INVESTIGATE on that, instead of CLOSE their eyes ????????????

REMEMBER THIS: The intire Gulf oil disaster was caused by one BP company man on the rig that night that made a decision that they and any other oil man knew was dangerous regarding the completion of the well. Whether they made the decision by BP upper order or just to make themselves look better they did it and should be tried for negligence in a civil court of law. I still have the 60 minute program I taped where the rig worker told of the BP company man's decision and what happened as a result of it. One decision! This one decision has ended many businesses and the way of life for many. Let's pray for justice from the Pay Czar that these good people are compensated. Personally, me and my family will never, ever buy another BP product for as long as we live. BP will recover after murdering our beutiful gulf area fishery, most people there won't. Most people live one check to the next, one seine net tot he next. Some will be gone before even the Pay Czar can help them. We Pray for all of you and feel your pain. We ask GOD to set his angels near about you and to protect you in your hour of need. One man's decision. Unreal !

It is interesting that no one has mentioned that 6,700 PSI (if it is a 6" pipe at the well head) translates into 189,342 pounds of pressure against that new cap. With that in mind its not hard to imagine that that oil will be looking for any crack or fissure in the earth for which to make its escape. Given the geological formation are probably layered...... I, for one am keeping my fingers crossed.
