Boy walking days after 16 story plunge

Less than a week after falling 16 stories from an apartment balcony, a 15-year-old New Zealand boy was walking around a hospital Monday and was expected to be released later this week, according to news reports from New Zealand.

Jason Epps-Eades, who manages the Proximity Apartments in Manukau City, New Zealand, said the teen plunged through the roof of a parking structure before hitting the concrete below, Radio New Zealand reported, which may have broken his fall and saved his life.

The boy suffered only broken bones and was expected to be released from Middlemore Hospital later this week, Radio New Zealand reported.

According to a report in the New Zealand Herald, the teen stunned his parents and doctors by getting up from his hospital bed and walking on Monday.

Epps-Eades told the Herald the boy plunged 14 stories before hitting the metal-webbed carpark roof in a spot without metal or concrete bracing, which cushioned his fall just enough for him to survive the fall of the final two stories to the garage floor.

Police were called by a resident who saw the teen plunge past his balcony, the Herald reported.

Officials told the Herald they did not know why the boy fell. Inspections found the glass-and-steel balcony to be safe, the report said.

Hey, do New Zealand kids wear those baggy skater pants and big shirts? Maybe they served as a parachute.

Patrick, just because you don't believe, you should respect those that do. The reason he doesn't intervene is clearly explained. It is called free will and thought. If we followed your explanation then he would seal your mouth. No he lets us make our way Patrck and if we make it to him then we are saved in the next life. All religions have this as a basis for salvation. Although miracles happen they would not be miracles if he bailed us out everytime we screwed up now would they. Just because man can cause a genocide doesn't mean there is no God

I guess you retards(most of you commenting here) did not read this paragraph. Your mythological "God" had nothing to do with it. I do admit however, that I am envious of you lack of intelligence. Have a nice day nerds.

Probability. If something happens enough over a course of time even the improbable can happen. This would have been a non story if he had died, because it is normal to fall that far and die. But because he lived people are touting it as a miracle, some divine intervention.
I have not seen one miracle that couldn't be explained through probability. Now a true miracle would break every known law of physics, say reversing entropy in a system would be a miracle to me. Say you take a skeleton, and prayed over it and the flesh returned, the organs reformed, and they came back to life. That would be a miracle.

Unbelievable disrespect. Ignorance. I hope this poor kid never has to be subjected to the tasteless jokes at his expense stated on these posts. Of course it gets down to God. Everything gets down to God if you're paying attention. GOD IS HOLY and not to be mocked. ~ ADA -"thank you for your post".
