Charlie Sheen to serve Aspen 'jail' term in Malibu rehab

Charlie Sheen will serve his 30-day sentence for a Colorado domestic violence conviction in a Malibu, California, rehab center, his lawyer said.

Sheen, 44, entered a plea agreement Monday afternoon to settle domestic violence charges that stemmed from a Christmas Day argument with his wife in Aspen, Colorado.

While the plea deal includes a jail term and probation for Sheen, he will be allowed to have it "served and administered" by the Promises drug rehab center in Malibu, defense lawyer Yale Galanter said.

"We're very pleased with the plea," Galanter said.

Sheen, was arrested on Christmas Day after his wife, Brooke Mueller, told Aspen police he threatened her with a knife at their holiday home.

So for punishment, he gets a vacation? If you're famous in Hollywood and you break the law, there's a good chance you'll be rewarded with a "slap on the wrist" and publicity. Yeah, real deterrents, there.

Once again there are laws for the rich and laws for the poor. The rich don't have to worry about breaking the law.

The rich get off easy, but the poor do the time. Disgusting.

I can think of another wealthy, famous domestic abuser that never had to answer for his actions. Can anyone say O.J.? If something is not done about Charlie Sheen it is going to cost some foolish young woman her life. He is obviously a sick, sadistic individual. Ladies beware.

well folks this is a shame hasnt ne one learned ne thing from the oj trial yrs ok, this reminds me of that all over again. look dont get me wrong i love charlie sheen but i thinks its wrong that if ur name is or was in lights and that if u have money u can get away with ne thing. look its not right . one day the courts will see that they are wrong for treating stars like royalty. i mean i admit ne one normal with out money that abuses someone dont get much time ne how but dang at least they do get some time and not at some dang resort. this gets me hot under the callor cause yea folks ive been one of the abused women and u know wat we deserve more than the abuser getting a slap on the wrist or wow only a month or so in jail. its not right. they get out and do it again and again. hey that sounds like charlie dont it. didnt he abuse his first wife as well. yep these vacations the judge keeps sending him on really have helped. hey charlie get some real couseling and straightend up. you still have time to get it right.

  6. Proven Addiction Recovery

Alcohol and prescription drug addictions are so prevalent today. Unfortunately, many rehab centers focus on just getting a person clean. There are facilities out there that taper an individual off their addiction first while teaching them new and healthy habits such as weight training, martial arts, healthy eating habits, and learning new skills.
