Tonight, Anderson Cooper chided Naomi Campbell over her perception that her testimony at the Charles Taylor war crimes tribunal was a 'inconvenience'. Really Anderson Cooper, sometimes you run with a passion without considering the facts. Naomi Campbell was told to clear her calender of long planned lucrative appearances and engagements and fly to The Hague to appear as a witness in the war crimes tribunal OR receive a 7 year prison sentence for refusing to attend and testify.

Anderson Cooper chided Naomi Campbell over her perception that two men she didn't know nor ever met gave her a pouch containing a couple small dirty stones as a gift after she had earlier attended a banquet in honor of Nelson Mandela attended by several hundred. Raw gemstones rarely look like the carefully cut and polished gemstone Naomi Campbell and the vast majority of the AC360 audience have seen. It seems rather rude to push the opinion that Naomi would immediately spot several small raw stones and come to the conclusion those were even raw diamonds much less 'blood diamonds'. I could give Anderson Cooper 5 different raw stones and I bet he would be entirely unable to tell me what each of those stones actually was, much less if they were gemstones and what kinds of gemstones.

There is no conclusion that can be drawn to indicate those tiny raw stones were from Charles Taylor nor if they were even raw diamonds. Naomi Campbell made it crystal clear on the stand she had not met those men before nor did she associate them with Charles Taylor.
