Tiger keeps tailing – plays worst tourney ever

Tiger Woods shot a 7 over par 77 on Sunday in the final round of the World Golf Championships - Bridgestone Invitational to complete his worst tournament as a professional at 18 over par.

"I don't see how it can be fun shooting 18 over especially since my handicap is supposed to be zero," Woods said after the round in which he carded six bogeys and two double bogeys. It was his worst round of the four day tournament and tied his worst final round as a pro.

"It's nice that the tournament's over and we can focus on next week," the world's No. 1 golfer - at least for the moment - said. Phil Mickelson can take over the No. 1 spot in the world golf rankings if he finishes fourth or better on Sunday afternoon at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

Woods and the rest of the tour head next week to Kohler, Wisconsin, and the PGA Championship, the last of the four major tournaments for 2010.

We all have relatives or friends who have faced serious physical and personal problems and have manifested those problems in behavior and job performance. Most recover to be the person they once were. I think we should all hope the best for Tiger.

If he actually provided something of substance. Lets say he was a great politician that worked to make policy that positively impacted peoples' lives. Or a good business person with high standards and ethics whose companies provided good jobs for people. But he is none of those. He hits a ball around. You can use the argument that he has done a lot for golf. Someone will be there to take his place.

  4. The Myth

Tiger is boring now, has been for better part of a year. Time for him to go back to what he knows best, and start working the long legged link he's most famous for. Just let the guy have his piece away from the wife an kids, and his game will 'come' around again. Then again....who cares.

Tiger is a great athlete... because he got lost in the fog of women throwing themselves at him, he lost his wife and family..a very large amount of money has been paid to his wife and family.. they have left the country... he just had major surgery, for which his body has to relearn proper stance and all..without Tiger in the mix I don't watch golf.. that's just the way it is.. Mr Woods- keep on keeping on, shed the girlies and show the world how to play golf so that is exciting.. I support you 100% and wish you well..

Tiger's score for this tourney is like Dale Earnhardt when he smuk'd the wall in Daytona. He should've died and so ends the "legend."

Looks like instant karma got him. LOL
Good tired of hearing about him anyway, he should quietly fade into the sunset, with his tail between his legs. What a dog.

With his money, fame and skill I thinks he has a long way to go before he ever hits bottom. Give me a break! He did not arrive at being rich & famous due to his stellar family life. Like it or not – "He'll be back!!! It's all a matter of priorities.

Tiger is a Pro and one of the best Golfers ever. This has been a very long year for him but he WILL come back and
be first again. Unless he prefers to throw it all away.....
    Hopefully not.....
He is a true sportsman....a WINNER....Hopefully he will come out of this fog and start his climb uphill again and WIN, WIN

  15. No More Roids

It is not his personal life. It is the fact he started feeling the heat from being associated with a Dr. that has been known to supply Performance Enhancing Drugs to all of his clients.

Off the Juice = average once again. Just look at the baseball numbers!! It seems he was also probably hooked on pain pills that he can no longer simply munch on now that the spotlight is on him. Take away his drugs and you take away his game. Just like all the other cheaters.

Well its obvious you know very little about the game of golf and even less about Tiger as a player, people like you crack me up when you decide to voice your opinion about Tiger and what is wrong with him. First of all let's look at the effects steroids have on people before and after. i.e. weight gain, weight loss after! For a guy u think has been on steroids his physical apperance has not changed at all. Playing at the levels that I have "College" and "Professional" I as well as other players know the mental demand the game requires to be the best. There is no other person walking this Earth who is under more pressure to perform like he is right now. So all i am asking is for people like u who watch to much Sports Center and do not understand the mental side to this game, especially at that level to just shut up and dont voice your stupid un-educated opinion on a matter you know jack $h!t about.
