Tiger keeps tailing – plays worst tourney ever

Tiger Woods shot a 7 over par 77 on Sunday in the final round of the World Golf Championships - Bridgestone Invitational to complete his worst tournament as a professional at 18 over par.

"I don't see how it can be fun shooting 18 over especially since my handicap is supposed to be zero," Woods said after the round in which he carded six bogeys and two double bogeys. It was his worst round of the four day tournament and tied his worst final round as a pro.

"It's nice that the tournament's over and we can focus on next week," the world's No. 1 golfer - at least for the moment - said. Phil Mickelson can take over the No. 1 spot in the world golf rankings if he finishes fourth or better on Sunday afternoon at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

Woods and the rest of the tour head next week to Kohler, Wisconsin, and the PGA Championship, the last of the four major tournaments for 2010.

For the love of God, Hunter Mahan and Ryan Palmer??? Am I supposed to get excited about these two?? Tiger needs to excercise the demons out of his psyche and get back to focus. Divorce is the only way if he wants to win again. Otherwise, his wife will continue to loft digs at him at the most inopportune moments and he will never rise to the challenge. I don't condone his behavior but he needs to realize that "working things out" is not an option because every time he thinks everything is good, he will do something that will undoubtedly result in his wife bringing up his infidelities - I can't blame her at all - and that will completely eff up his game.

Well, Mickelson finished outside of top ten!! If you're playing such a great golf, how can blow so MANY chances to take over #1 rank??? May be Mickey is nothing but an ordinary golfer!! And love it or hate it, Woods is the only best golfer of this era!!

I hate Phil. He was such an a$$ for the longest time and was not crowd friendly. No one seems to remember this. I get the feeling that the reason a lot of people root for Phil is because Tiger is African American. If that's the case, it's really sad. It was only after Phil won his first Major that he started to be cool with his fans. What's up with that?

I like the headline here, Tiger keeps tailing. Isn't that why he's in trouble with his wife because too much tail.

You can't see how steroids help a golfer, huh? How about endurance? Think of how much better one can play if fatigue is not a factor. Just ask Lance Armstrong.

I'm loving it!!!!!!!! Now we can get to know other golfers and the sponsors don't have to make demands like; there has to be 3 camera shots of Tiger between commercials". How many other golfers do you see on tape replay while Tiger and Steve williams are driking water. Pitiful.

does anyone really care here??? He brought this on ALL himself folks. You reap what you sow. Should his private life be kept private? YEP, but pay attention here.....when you are in the spotlight, which HE chose, your private life, unfortunately, becomes VERY public.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Hopefully someone can post some of his Happy Gilmore like outbursts he is famous for on YouTube as I am sure he had plenty lately.

Tiger will probably eventually regain his game and become one of the best again but I doubt he will dominate like he has in years past. The guy replied on his image to intimidate other golfers and now when he does his famous taunts and head games other golfers will be like sure whatever slick don't you have a date with Jenna Jameson when this tournament is over.

Instead of all this incessant news about Tiger Woods, how about ignoring him and telling us who won and who was 2nd, etc. and making their day. I am sick of hearing about Tiger Woods! Let's hear about the winners (both on and off the course!)! Thanks!
