I would like to hear the entire conversation between Dr. Laura and her caller but I am sure that she was simply trying to make a relevant point and was taken out of context. I grew up in a very diverse neighborhood and have used the "n" word in many different ways with many different people and it is accepted in certain contexts with many different people in many different ways and yes I am a white male. I believe she was just trying to get the point across that we as a nation cannot get over the hate and move forward as a society until we stop being so super sensitive about so many things that just aren't even worth the idiotic arguing any more. If as a people it's okay for African Americans to be on television, on radio, and around the country to so freely throw the word, and it's many slang variations around than why are we still being so uptight and argumentative about this any way!

Yes, I think that you should hear the entire conversation. You'll see that this woman, who has been of the reservation for decades now, is becoming a complete arrogant and insensitive wack job. There was no point to get across here. She was totally unprofessional and didn't even try to help this caller. Just kept ranting on and on. Time to retire. She looks 85 and sounds insane. The N word is the least of her problem.

Ok people, lets stop and open a dictionary. I personally find racial slurs to be funny. Here is my reason why. If you look up the definition of these words, you will find that they are not used properly. If you speak english, use the words the way they are meant to be used. By the flippin definition. You sound stupid saying them. not to mention words are only words and they shouldnt matter. grow up, you cant fix stupid so stop trying.

The blacks use it ALL the time and then they wonder why it's still being widely used today. I went to a mostly all black highschool and heard it everyday and now they say it widely in rap music. And btw, the whole if you use it ending in the letter "a" instead of "er" it has a different meaning context is completely absurd. This kind of rational thinking is the kind that continues to push them further down into society. I have only stated the truth. I would absolutely love it if they stopped wearing their pants halfway down and wearing the oversized cheap sleeveless tanktops out in public and to start acting civilized. It's just too bad that the white devil will never allow them to be anything great like the president of the United States.

I pray for a time when the only race in this world is the HUMAN race ! One has but to tune into any of the Martin Lawrence comedy shows, and Paul Mooney, to hear the animosity these comedians have toward the White race. It's a shame that many African-Americans work so hard at keeping a racial divide between progression with dignity to human harmony which would make our world, (meanining all ethnic races), a beautiful one. We certainly don't hear the White race bashing the African-Americans in their comedy scenes. This hatred will continue to retard our progress to a more unified world. And I speak of all ethnicities. If African-Americans don't wish to hear a White, or other race, say the "N" word, then they shouldn't keep it alive ! Can't we just have the HUMAN RACE ? !! Love thy neighbor.
