Hmmm...I wonder who killed them? Did it happen spontaneously? Or perhaps CNN has chosen to avoid naming the murderers out of fear of being islamophobic or something. Thank you CNN for you strong stand against terror. Your selective coverage is a real tribute to the cowardice within western society

"south park, we would support you if we weren't so afraid"...
Well, i guess four Israelis murdered in terror attack is not an attractive news item. After all, we wouldn't like people get the wrong idea on the Palestinians and their methods, right?

Alex, if the kill to loss ratio seems unfair to you, here's a novel solution: stop the terrorist attacks and I'm pretty sure the IDF will have no reason to keep firing back.

Israeli authorities like to investigate matters before reporting (exact opposite of Palestinians and Turks). Compare this to reading a report about four people who were hit by a car and it is unknown if the driver was drunk at the time. When it comes down to it, that's what this war is really about; FACTS vs FICTION. Which side are you on?

Who cares about whom they were killed by? 4 Israelis is nothing compared to the number of Palestinians who have been murdered by the zionists. And since when have whites had an affinity towards Jews? Oh right, they're the lighter of the two.

Hello folks... wake-up here ; no-matter what you ant- Israelie people think, Israel is the Jewish Homeland and rightful owners are the Jews. They were not the ones to throw the first "punch". They are defending what our Lord & God GAVE them. The Bible says so and that is FACT. When you speak out against this, you are making a fool out of yourself because every real Christian knows this truth. If you think this is in error, then go back and do your homework ; past what your goverment wants you to believe. Yes CNN is not producing the truth. No suprise there.

there are no unarmed palestians, in fact, there is no such thing as a palestinian. They are nothing more than Jordanians from what was known as Transjordan who piled on with the rest of the Arabs that tried to anialate Isreal in 1948. Read a book and get some information from someone else other lamestream media and your posts might have more depth and meaning.

As long as Arabs will refuse to recognize the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state (does NOT mean that only Jews are allowed to live there though) there will be no peace. Why doesn't the world recognize this and make sure this is fixed before anything else happens??? It seems that everyone is purposefully blind to this. Israel is a Jewish land for at least 4 reasons:
      1) because the Bible says so (eternal promises are not reneged by God!)
      2) because it was declared as such by the (civilized) world
      3) because Israel has legitimately possessed the land
      4) because it is the only democracy in the Middle East

      yes im sure....legitimate!
Jews threw out 700,000 people out of their houses so they can move in is legitimate? then indians can come and kick us out of our houses too cuse this land belongs to them..
and rather than fixing the issue ..the world did not want to deal with Jews in their own land so they were quick to recognize Israel and their impunity...and then we wonder why 911 happened

Alex- very, very different topic. Maybe your hate blinds you.... I suggest you read the "Case for Israel" by Dershowitz. Might get a few facts straight about your preposterous comment that Jews kicked out people...Second, Jews have always been on their land – and everyone agrees it's theirs. Also, militarily speaking, when attacked from arabs on all sides, they reconquered some of their land LEGITIMATELY (according to ALL international standards, but that might escape you Alex). You can't compare. It's Jewish land. Period.

Settlers are NOT civilians. All settlers are required by law to be armed. Settlers perform daily raids on Palestinian towns vandalizing their shops, destroying their crops, and assaulting their kids. The article should read, "Four Israeli trespassers were killed...."

Four killed as terrorists open fire near Kiryat Arba
    08/31/2010 20:11

Victims, shot while driving, include 2 men, 2 women, one reportedly pregnant; attack comes before Netanyahu and Abbas set to meet in Washington for peace talks.
    Talkbacks (1)

Four Israelis were killed as terrorists opened fire at an Israeli vehicle near Kiryat Arba in Hebron Tuesday evening.

Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the scene of the shooting and declared all four victims dead; two men aged 25 and 40 and two women aged 25 and 40. Paramedics added that one of the women may have been pregnant. All four are residents of Beit Hagai.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said, "Shot were fired from close range at the vehicle at approximately 7:30 p.m. All four occupants of the vehicle were shot dead. The area has been cordoned off by Border Police, Judea and Samaria Police and the IDF. Security forces are searching for the attackers."

The IDF has been on high alert in the West Bank out of fear that Palestinians would try to torpedo talks through increased attacks against Israelis.

      haaretz version of the story:
Four Israelis killed in shooting attack near Hebron

Two men and two women, one of whom was pregnant, killed in attack that occurred around 7:30 P.M. when gunmen opened fire on victims' car.

By Anshel Pfeffer, Amos Harel and News Agencies

Four Israelis were killed on Tuesday night when gunmen opened fire on their car at the entrance to Kiryat Arba, near Hebron, in the West Bank.

The attack occurred around 7:30 P.M. on Route 60, when shots were fired at a private vehicle near the Bnei Naim junction, south of Kiryat Arba. Preliminary reports showed the gunmen approached the vehicle and shot the victims multiple times at point-blank range.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes just a day before the White House effort to re-launch Mideast peace talks.

"We can confirm there are four dead at the scene," Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

Magen David Adom reported that the victims were two men aged 25 and 40 and two women, also aged 25 and 40, one of whom was pregnant.

The victims were all residents of the settlement of Beit Hagai in the southern Hebron Hills.

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi earlier this week toured the West Bank with Brigadier General Nitzan Alon, the IDF commander in the territory, to discuss the army's readiness to confront efforts to "inflame the region" ahead of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians in Washington.

This attack is the latest in shooting attacks on Israelis in the West Bank. In June, a police officer was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting attack on their vehicle outside Hebron, and in May two Israelis were hurt by broken glass when bullets hit their car on a different stretch of Route 60.

i see no mention of who the gunmen were.
