Publicist: Zsa Zsa Gabor 'unresponsive,' rushed to hospital

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital after her husband found her "unresponsive" Tuesday morning, her publicist told CNN.

Gabor, 93, was taken by ambulance from her Bel Air, California, home to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she had undergone hip replacement surgery earlier this summer, publicist John Blanchette said Tuesday.

She was hospitalized for several days earlier this month for complications relating to the surgery, he said.

Her husband, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, was "very agitated" after calling for an ambulance Tuesday morning, he said.

Gabor had returned home from the hospital two weeks ago because she "wants to spend her final days at her home," Blanchette said at the time.

She spent three weeks in the hospital after breaking her hip in a fall from her bed on July 17.

She has been frail and "pretty much confined to a wheelchair" since a 2002 car accident, said Von Anhalt. The crash happened when the car in which she was riding with her hairdresser slammed into a light pole on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The glamorous Hungarian-born actress, the second of the three celebrated Gabor sisters, is most famous for her many marriages. Among her husbands was Oscar-winning actor George Sanders.

Her more prominent films include John Huston's 1952 Toulouse-Lautrec biopic, "Moulin Rouge;" "The Story of Three Loves" in 1953; "The Girl in the Kremlin" in 1957; and Orson Welles' 1958 classic, "Touch of Evil."

To Zsa Zsa's family. I'm truly sorry for some of the comments left here. I don't know how anyone could be so mean. Even if you don't know who someone is, you don't have to say hateful things. And I'm sorry I let some of the people's remarks cause me to lose my cool when this was clearly the time to use kind words. God bless you, Zsa Zsa, and your family. I know who you are so prayers, thoughts and thanks for the memories.

wow, I started reading at the beginning and then skipped to the end and all of a sudden people are insulting tea baggers and tree huggers alike. How did an article about a semi-famous-more famous for being famous (and married lots like Liz T.)-the first ever famous for being famous person turn into sucj mud slinging.

Really, we just need to get rid off all the illegals and the anchor baby clause, if not the babies themselves, and we'll be fine. There should be no requirement for companies to provide a choice of english or spanish, or include spanish instructions on labels. If they can't speak and read english then they should not be here. Let them and their little illegal babies drink the poison drain cleaner, who cares.

How sad. I highly suspect we will be hearing of her passing very shortly. Zsa Zsa was such a unique lady. I can only guess that if someone is unresponsive, it's an indication of a massive stroke. That's what happened with my grandmother who was 90 when she passed away.

Still seriously concerned about her 'husbands' hand in everything. The man was 20-30 years her junior, and has since driven a wedge between her and her family. In it for the money, and it would not be hard to toss a frail 90 year old lady around and make it look like an accident. He is probably chomping at the bit to get her dough. Here's hoping she had the good sense to make a will behind his back.
