Publicist: Zsa Zsa Gabor 'unresponsive,' rushed to hospital

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital after her husband found her "unresponsive" Tuesday morning, her publicist told CNN.

Gabor, 93, was taken by ambulance from her Bel Air, California, home to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she had undergone hip replacement surgery earlier this summer, publicist John Blanchette said Tuesday.

She was hospitalized for several days earlier this month for complications relating to the surgery, he said.

Her husband, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, was "very agitated" after calling for an ambulance Tuesday morning, he said.

Gabor had returned home from the hospital two weeks ago because she "wants to spend her final days at her home," Blanchette said at the time.

She spent three weeks in the hospital after breaking her hip in a fall from her bed on July 17.

She has been frail and "pretty much confined to a wheelchair" since a 2002 car accident, said Von Anhalt. The crash happened when the car in which she was riding with her hairdresser slammed into a light pole on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The glamorous Hungarian-born actress, the second of the three celebrated Gabor sisters, is most famous for her many marriages. Among her husbands was Oscar-winning actor George Sanders.

Her more prominent films include John Huston's 1952 Toulouse-Lautrec biopic, "Moulin Rouge;" "The Story of Three Loves" in 1953; "The Girl in the Kremlin" in 1957; and Orson Welles' 1958 classic, "Touch of Evil."

Man... this is getting to the point that it might just be kinder to everyone involved, including Gabor, if she passed on. This is no kind of life.

It's interesting how many people are confusing her with her sister. They did look a lot a like, but were very different!

Mastakilla – You think it's bad to support Sarah Palin and to drive around in old broken down pickups? Why? YOU, on the other hand, undoubtedly are chauffeured in limousines or Mercedes' and consider yourself a member of the intellectual elite, perfectly qualified to judge others based on what they drive and for whom they vote. I suppose you can even judge your fellow citizens to be racists or fools just because you say so. Don't you have brother in the White House?

    Who is she?
Zsa Zsa Gabor – Hollywood actress and author of "The Complete Guide to Men" which is often referred to as the gold-digger's bible. She is more famous for her lengthy string of husbands and her numerous pairs of shoes, than she is for her acting.

    What did she do?
Alledgedly, whilst driving through Beverly Hills, CA, Gabor was pulled over by a Police officer. Upon asking for her license and registration it was discovered they had both expired. After waiting ten minutes for the officer to confirm the records, Gabor drove away from the busy cop. Giving chase, the cop pulled Gabor over again and asked her to leave the vehicle. She did so, but slapped the officer in the process. He arrested her and on a subsequent search of the vehicle, a flask of bourbon was discovered.

Yep, alledgedly with Battery against an officer; disobeying an officer; driving without a registration; driving without a license; driving with an open container of alcohol.

Judge Rubin of the Beverly Hills Municipal Court found Gabor guilty of slapping an officer, and of two of the traffic offenses. Ms. Gabor was sentenced to 72 hours in jail, 120 hours of community service, and ordered her to pay court costs ($13,000)

Maybe it should have been called a tragic war without a cause. We had no business being there other than to salve the hurt feelings of Bush I by bush II. Bush I (who I respect) probably would have never invaded that country. 911 was the rallying call even though Iraq/sadam had nothing to do with 911. Besides, shouldn't we have pulled out when bush announced Mission Accomplished? What a loser.................

@Mastakilla You're quite observant. Of course we support Palin! She's quite handy with a gun and can cook too. And yes, we Chevy owners proudly drive around broken-down Fords, NOT in them. 🙂
