Publicist: Zsa Zsa Gabor 'unresponsive,' rushed to hospital

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital after her husband found her "unresponsive" Tuesday morning, her publicist told CNN.

Gabor, 93, was taken by ambulance from her Bel Air, California, home to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where she had undergone hip replacement surgery earlier this summer, publicist John Blanchette said Tuesday.

She was hospitalized for several days earlier this month for complications relating to the surgery, he said.

Her husband, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, was "very agitated" after calling for an ambulance Tuesday morning, he said.

Gabor had returned home from the hospital two weeks ago because she "wants to spend her final days at her home," Blanchette said at the time.

She spent three weeks in the hospital after breaking her hip in a fall from her bed on July 17.

She has been frail and "pretty much confined to a wheelchair" since a 2002 car accident, said Von Anhalt. The crash happened when the car in which she was riding with her hairdresser slammed into a light pole on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The glamorous Hungarian-born actress, the second of the three celebrated Gabor sisters, is most famous for her many marriages. Among her husbands was Oscar-winning actor George Sanders.

Her more prominent films include John Huston's 1952 Toulouse-Lautrec biopic, "Moulin Rouge;" "The Story of Three Loves" in 1953; "The Girl in the Kremlin" in 1957; and Orson Welles' 1958 classic, "Touch of Evil."

I have never seen such rude, hateful and downright moronic comments from should be ashamed.
She was a delightfully funny woman and she will be missed by those of us who actually have a brain and a heart!

The Hungarian-born Gabor has appeared in more than 30 movies, and her penchant for calling everyone "dah-ling" in her Hungarian accent made her a well-known Hollywood personality.

She, along with her two glamorous sisters Eva and Magda made several appearances on radio and television shows in the 1950s and 1960s. Gabor appeared in the movies "Moulin Rouge," followed by "Lili" and later "Touch of Evil." Eva Gabor died in 1995 and Magda Gabor died in 1997.

Gabor was married nine times to a string of husbands that included a Turkish diplomat and the hotel magnate Conrad Hilton. She has been married to von Anhalt for 24 years.
    May she go in peace!

First, pray for her. And second, to all those being so cruel on this board, remember you have loved ones, and hopefully, you are loved by someone...imagine what it would feel like if heard people being so dismissive about someone you loved, or about you yourself, when-or God williing-IF you live long enough to have somebody love you.

And before you come out of the woodworks, NO I don't know her personally, never met her, and wasn't necessarily a huge fan, but she is one of the beauties of her time and like it or not, would not be ignored.

Hats off to a real dame. Get better, Zsa Zsa.

I would hope and pray that a few of her co-stars, say Irene Ryan and Donna Douglas be with Zsa right about now. They had many seasons of fun together. Buddy Ebsen was good also as her husband.

Right on, Garry! All these moronic and ignorant comments are uncalled for. One can only hope they'll be checking out soon because they do something stupid — thinning the herd so to speak. Rest in Peace, Zsa Zsa. You were a class act.
