U.S. Marines boarded and seized control Thursday of a German-owned vessel that had been captured off Somalia by pirates on Wednesday, the U.S. Fifth Fleet said.
Marines from the USS Dubuque captured nine alleged pirates and returned control of the M/V Magellan Star to its civilian crew, the Navy said. No injuries were reported.
A Turkish navy frigate and a second U.S. warship also took part in the operation, the U.S. Navy said.

My husband is part of the 15th MEU and was one of the 24 marines who aided in capturing these pirates. I cannot even begin to explain how proud I am of him and the other troops involved. Good job guys, and thank you for keeping us safe!
