Authorities are investigating the death of an Amtrak passenger
whose body was found by railroad tracks in south Georgia hours after she was
reported missing.
An autopsy on Barbara Arteta, 63, of New Smryna Beach, Florida, was
conducted Friday. The results were not immediately known, said Special Agent Mike McDaniel of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
He termed Arteta's death "suspicious." He would not provide details on
any interviews or leads.
Where is Agatha Christie, now that we really need her?
So I guess you could say she wasn't "riding that midnight train to Georgia". (does cheesy sunglasses move)
She could'nt sleep, went for a walk and was robbed and then 'helped' off the train. Or her husband took the money from her purse making robbery appear to be the motive and then 'helped' her off the train. Maybe he could'nt bear to see her suffer anymore, became too much of a burden for him or maybe her?
That is so terribly wrong!
Very sad and mysterious. And for the jokers here, grow the freak up.
This new blog thingy is sooo killer!
Hey, Galoux, I for one didn't mean to make light of the poor lady's death. But in a world of hard fortune, those who don't learn to laugh wind up laughing it up where they can't help it. Seriously, this case needs both excellent detective work and first rate forensics. I've seen what should have been clear-cut cases go cold and peter out for want of one or both.
