Eiffel Tower, park evacuated for bomb threat

The Eiffel Tower and the park around it were evacuated Tuesday night after a telephoned bomb threat, police said.

The police press office said the alert, which was reported at 8:20 p.m. (2:20 p.m. ET), was being treated as a routine occurrence and was being investigated to determine whether the threat was real.

Some 2,000 people were in the area when the evacuation was ordered, police said, according to BFM-TV . Also evacuated were a number a nearby apartment buildings and businesses, according to news reports.

    remember if u do not want to wear the vail u are commiting a sin, u cant force someone sum ppl need to understand that as much as u want ppl to practice islam u cant force them they need to do it with their own will otherwise its not really practicing islam if sum1 forces u to wear a vail. h dont wana wear 1 ur leaving islam by ur own will gods earth is wide enough for true frenh muslims to leave france and practice islam somewere else

    Anyways, the full story page says that the inspection is suppoused to be finished by 5 PM EST, and its 5 PM EST now, so..... nothing new from them I guess....

    Also, the newest comments have shifted into the middle of the whole comments string for some reason.
