That's great news, good thing this nightmare is coming to an end. But as far as people arguing about thanking or not thanking GOD, what relevance does that have to do with these guys coming home? Can't we just agree that we're ALL happy to see them make it home alive and well?

Lucky for them they are in Chile and not the USA. When miners get trapped underground here they either die because there are no "safe rooms" with oxygen and food or because the company that owns the mine decideds it is too expensive to rescue them and declares the mine a tomb and moves on. Rescuing trapped miners is bad for profits.

sssimon.....hate to burst your bubble but in every mine in the US and Canada that I have worked in, there were always "safe rooms" or refuge stations. The problem is a cave in can happen any where in an underground operation and the causes can be many.

From this miner (retired) to those miners trapped I say "Hang in there Brothers".

God only exist because you believe he does. If you don't believe he exist. then he does not exist. It is a proof of conept we as men ahve created.

Then if that is the case, let people be happy with their beliefs. No one is trying to convince you that he exist, quit trying to convince us that he doesn't.

Actually, that is what missionaries are all about... so actually you are trying to convert other people.

Do the miners get overtime for all the days they've been stuck under there? Because... That would be pretty sweet. In fact... I would think they're quite alright with the process taking as long as necessary.

The mining company went out of business. I hope the miners are justly compensated for their experience.

Is this the Chilean hole or the plan B hole?

Miners are a different breed of folks. I guess all you can do is take it day by day but I hope they get taken care of and don't ever have to go down into another mine again.

It never fails to amaze me...

"GOD"? The miner's got trapped because they were working and there was an accident,

The miners are going to get out because some other people drilled a big ass hole to lift them out.

Where the $&^% does "God" come into play here?

I wish your "god" would just press the "off" button on religious people already so I would never again have to read a single word about some sort of fictional, all powerfull, and all knowing creator.

This is a really positive development and should hopefully help improve morale for them. I like E's comment about overtime.
Seems to me the mining company will owe them a few thousand hours of overtime. 🙂

I can't believe all the religious nut jobs commenting on this. Go spew your drivel on the belief blog.

It was started by a nut job who doesn't believe spewing his drivel. Let him shut up!

Get them out first which are most reachable! foods, waters and some air provide greatly for the miners. It is too long! We ll celebrate together when the miners got up on the ground! Hang there miners!

By the time they widen it, the miners should be skinny enough to crawl up anyway.

maybe they should've just sent some shovels down and told them to un-bury themselves. Survivor: Chile! TV executives are missing a winner.

Who cares whether or not you believe there is a God right now. How about just an all around good job for the PA miners that went down there to make this happen so the trapped miners can be freed and be with their families?
