Fourth lawsuit filed against Pastor Eddie Long

A fourth lawsuit has been filed against Atlanta-area Pastor Eddie Long,
alleging he coerced a 15 year-old into sex during a trip to Africa.

The man named in the new suit says he first met the pastor at his church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The improprieties continued after he moved to Atlanta at the behest of Long to attend a local university, he said.

A spokesman for Long denied the allegations. He has denied similar allegations of impropriety from 3 other men.

"Our position about the lawsuits has not changed. Bishop Long categorically deny the charges. We believe that it is unfortunate the young men have chosen to take this course of action. The defense team will review the complaints and respond accordingly at the appropriate time and in the appropriate forum," Art Franklin said.

The world is watching the church, remember who we are in Christ. But we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should shew forth the praises of him who hath called us out of darkness into his marvellous light........... Amen Amen Amen

Bishop Eddie Long is not being attacked for being a Bishop. For a Bishop must be found blameless in the first place, according to God's word. New Birth is not being attacked, nor is the Academy, since these allegations does not pertain to the congregation, but Bishop Eddie Long. Since he is a leader, we would expect a leader to not fall in this kind of way as being accused of such strong allegations. If we had a president who was accused of the same thing, as Americans, we would immediately take another thought on what we have elected to represent our country. Whether guilty or innocent, it would be in the best interest of his reputation to make a public statement. Not only is his church congregation involved in the ministry, but people from around the world. When you make a choice to be in the public eye, you had better walk a tight line since you are a voice that is heard from all across the world. I have sowed numerous of seeds into this ministry, and personally, would like to hear from him of these allegations. It is everyone's business when they take out time to give the church money to continue their ministry. So yes, he should be making a statement on national television so that all the people that supports his ministry would be further clarified of his denials of these allegations. It is best said from the "horses" mouth.

We are so quick to place God in situations so casually for our senseless actions. God did not tell Bishop Eddie Long to carry himself in that way before men. When you are before people and represent God, you should leave all carnality where it belongs. We must guard our very feet in the church, and should not carry ourselves so casually. For a Bishop to be so caught up in himself, is a man that's a lover of himself according to the scriptures. As for the congregation, if they had any sense at all, they would now take a closer look at the real picture and not follow someone just because they are famous and can entertain them. Moreover, as we let God judge the situation, we must also do our part to ensure that these types of allegations doesn't happen in our churches again. We cannot let leaders be accused of such things as this and still follow them. He needs to have a seat really quick. I am looking forward to what he has to say on Sunday, but it shouldn't have taken him so long to acknowledge this to his church congregation. A pure sign of guiltiness.

I am so glad that the God i serve is not like man! Cause if he was we would all be dead right now! ....but it is funny, they accused Jesus of wrong doing when he did no wrong...they beat him, stoned him, and hung him up on a cross...he did no wrong people!
Bishop long is not my pastor, but until proven otherwise he is a man of God, and i will not lay one ill word on him. BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT COMES OUT YOUR MOUTH!

When will we get it? We are all connected in God. Hating another human being is hating ourselves.

Scandals such as this only PROVE that SATAN is trying to gain CONTROL. We must be vigilant in our daily lives. Ask yourself why so many people in our recent history have let money and greed destroy them. You will see the EVIL THAT IS SATAN. This blogger is not by any means a church goer or affiliated with any religion or belief system. Maybe somewhat redundant but I do "see" . I believe the bishop was following a different path . He was not stronger than his DEMONS. THINK ABOUT IT.

THIS ISSUE IS STILL PENDING, BUT IT DOESNT LOOK POSITIVE. I DONT AGREE WITH COMMENTS THAT THIS WILL GIVE PEOPLE A REASON NOT TO BELIEVE IN GOD. I FEEL THATS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM NOW WITH A LOT OF CHRISTIANS...NOT ALL, BUT A LOT. TOO MANY OF YOU ARE WORSHIPPING THE MAN AND NOT GOD. NOT ONE PASTOR DIED ON THE CROSS FOR U....HAS A HEAVEN OR HELL AND YOU WILL NOT STAND BEFORE ANY PASTOR, BISHOP, ETC ON JUDEMENT DAY. I ASLO DONT AGREE WITH COMMENTS THAT THIS BLACK MAN DID ALL THIS GOOD WORK AND TRIED TO HELP THESE YOUNG MEN AND THIS IS WHAT THEY DO. IT SOUNDS LIKE SENSE HE WAS SUCH A GOOD MENTOR TO THESE YOUNG MEN THEY SHOULD BE GREATFUL AND THEREFORE SHOULD HAVE KEPT THEIR MOUTH SHUT. COMMENTS LIKE THAT MAKE IT SOUND LIKE ITS OK TO EXCUSE NEGATIVE ACTIONS IF THE PERSON APPEAR TO BE A GREAT LEADERS, MENTOR, OR "ANNOINTED PASTOR". I DONT AGREE. I DONT CARE HOW SAVED OR HOLY YOU THINK YOU ARE OR HOW GOOD YOUR REPUTATION APPEARS IN THE COMMUNITY ITS NEVER OK TO EXCUSE BAD BEHAVIOR OF ANY KIND..ESP WITH THESES KIND OF ALLEGATIONS. STOP BOWING DOWN TO A MAN AND THINK JUST BECAUSE A MAN IS PREACHING HE IS ANNOINTED HE WILL DO NO WRONG. HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A PERSON IS ANNOINTED? I ALSO THINK WE SHOULD PRAY FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS. IM NOT SAYING HE IS GUILTY OR INNOCENT BUT I WILL SAY THIS ISSUE IS STILL PENDING AND IT DOESNT LOOK POSITIVE.
