Fourth lawsuit filed against Pastor Eddie Long

A fourth lawsuit has been filed against Atlanta-area Pastor Eddie Long,
alleging he coerced a 15 year-old into sex during a trip to Africa.

The man named in the new suit says he first met the pastor at his church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The improprieties continued after he moved to Atlanta at the behest of Long to attend a local university, he said.

A spokesman for Long denied the allegations. He has denied similar allegations of impropriety from 3 other men.

"Our position about the lawsuits has not changed. Bishop Long categorically deny the charges. We believe that it is unfortunate the young men have chosen to take this course of action. The defense team will review the complaints and respond accordingly at the appropriate time and in the appropriate forum," Art Franklin said.

What I found totally ridiculous is that this man lives a lavish lifestyle spending millions of dollars. He should give it all up and live a life like Francis Chan.

  2. Not all of these young men are telling a lie

Not all these young men are telling a lie. There is some truth in this . Please don't believe that these young men are making all this up. I am not judging anyone or taking sides. This is a very sad situation for all parties involved. There are more than the young men and pastor long involved. they all have families and the members of New Birth.

And speaking of families, where were the young men's famlies when all this occured for years. As having minor children, I pay close attention to where they spend their time and with whom. There's enough blame to go around. Do we "Remember the Time" and Never Never Land? With today's world of electornics. email. fb, twitter, downloads, uploads, I can look like anybody I want. With a little clicking and pasteing I can have a picture of anybody I want in just a few minutes. Come on let's be realistic, we're talking to people right now that we don't know. Let's not condemn a man before he has been found guilty. Are we all without sin? Let he who is without sin cast the 1st stone. I know I can't pick up a rock and I'm sure most of us can't either. We have to be careful when we start judging others you will be judged by the same measure. There is no big sin, little sin; sin is sin. Why not pray for ALL those involved and let God work the rest out.

God warned him and he never listened. It is not the devil. This is the finger of God. We can only pray for him and his church family now

Anybody still saying that this story may not have truth, is living in a land fantasy. There will be more and he'll eventually settle this suit. Only when he admitls to himself, family and congragation, will the the healing start.

Looks bad for this guy. Its rare that African-American males will admit that something like this has happened to them. Granted innocent until proven guilty it looks bad

Did it occur to you that perhaps God IS dealing with him? At the height of the power he has taken for himself using the name of God, this man is about to lose everything (and rightfully so, if he is indeed guilty). All his transgressions are being publicly aired in front of his family, his congregation and the world. He is going to lose his money (which is obviously very important to him), his status, his family, and all his followers. I think he's been quite thoroughly dealt with/stricken down or whatever you want to call it.

I pray that his soul is right with God because each and every one of us has one and if it's not right with God...who are we to change God's judgement and rationalize His thinking?

I say every person has a right to present a defense, but it does not look good when people keep coming out about this abuse. It certainly makes one look guilty of something.
