Fourth lawsuit filed against Pastor Eddie Long

A fourth lawsuit has been filed against Atlanta-area Pastor Eddie Long,
alleging he coerced a 15 year-old into sex during a trip to Africa.

The man named in the new suit says he first met the pastor at his church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The improprieties continued after he moved to Atlanta at the behest of Long to attend a local university, he said.

A spokesman for Long denied the allegations. He has denied similar allegations of impropriety from 3 other men.

"Our position about the lawsuits has not changed. Bishop Long categorically deny the charges. We believe that it is unfortunate the young men have chosen to take this course of action. The defense team will review the complaints and respond accordingly at the appropriate time and in the appropriate forum," Art Franklin said.

If Bishop Long does or does not believe in God this is between him and the almighty himself. The bible states God is the only person who has the right to Judge and if Longs actions were in vain God will be the one to determine his desmise.....

This really doesn't look good for the's just that nothing adds up in his heart goes out to his wife...the "alleged" victims....and especially his church family...I'm going to pray for only prayer for the bishop is that he tells the truth...if he is truly following God's word...then he will do just will be far worse if he doesn't and then we find out later the allegations are true...just tell the truth bishop...don't drag everyone through the mud with this....

New Birth Church, Please do not allow Bishop Long to speak against these men in the Church. Golitha should not speak against the many Davids. All over the World boys, girls, women and men are being taking advantage of and abused. They are scared to speak out because of the back lash. Bishop Long and the Church should handle this matter through the court system. The Church should encouge all to talk with someone when they feel violated. Do not make the same mistake as the Catholic Community. Again, the Church (all Churches) should ENCOURGE victims in all abusive situations to come forward...if an uncle, aunt, cousin, famil ly member, friend, pastor or stranger abuses someone the alleged victim should not be attacked and the accused should not use his power and position especially the pulpit to defend his actions and none actions. Innocent or guilt will be decided by the jury based on evidence and influence. The IRS and the FBI will also, make a decision on this case. Leave this issue out of the Church.

It's just like the Tiger Woods fiasco... they see one person cashing in... the rest want to get on the "gravy train" too. I imagine we'll have a dozen young men come forward before it's over... enough for a calendar!

Let's not judge, but keep his family in prayer! If the allegations are true, Long will likely step aside so that his church can move forward, possibly with a new minister. It is really sad since he was endeared by so many in the Atlanta area.
If the allegations proves true, and their are no criminal charges, since the legal age of consent is 16 in Georgia, Long
would be wise to step down, and allow for new leadership to move the church to the next level. He was stiffling their growth anyway by not releasing the details of his spending when requested by Senator Grassley. Maybe had he been forced to comply a trend would have been indicated, showing international trips with young men, with one-room stays would have like posed questions. Unfortunately, Long declined to release the books upon request. Looks like he is reaping what he has sown.

I saw Haggarty doing an interview last night on this Pastor Long debacle and he was trying his best to put a good spin on the story. That is what all ministers seem to be, spin doctors. They are charismatic and show empathy towards everyone right up to the point where they get caught. Then then spin forgiveness.
