World update: Building restarts at West Bank settlements

An update from the CNN newsdesk in London on the stories we're following on Monday:

Abbas in France: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas meets French President Nicholas Sarkozy in Paris. The visit comes as construction at settlement sites in the West Bank begins, hours after the expiration of a 10-month Israeli government moratorium on building.

    No, the Paletinian settlers are "grandfathered in" they have been there so long.And what about the Muslim Temple, the Dome on the Rock, built on the ruins of Solomons temple? Does Israel have the right to bulldoze it as well? of course not in both instances
