Fort Hood: Four soldiers apparently killed themselves

Four soldiers from the Fort Hood Army base in Texas - all decorated veterans from the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan - died in the past week, a Fort Hood spokesman said Wednesday.

In all four cases, it appears the soldiers took their own lives, spokesman Christopher Haug said.

So...drinking the kool-aid huh? Do you really believe 4 decorated vets commit suicide ALL within a week of one another from the same base?...seriously, you can't make this up!

    Truly sad. RIP.

The whole time they were fighting in the wars they probably dreamed about coming home to their loved ones, getting a job and having a normal life.

Come home to find their kids don't recognize them, their wife is sleeping with the neighbor and they are stuck in the military because there are no other jobs. There's no poison in that kool-aid, it's enough for anyone to put a gun in there mouth.

Reporting and journalism have become a joke! It's the saddest thing too! It's actually very disturbing!

      Tonya,
I would rather have a lack of information than a story based on speculation or false accusation.

They probably realized what a poor state our economy is in, that there are no jobs for returning vets wanting to get out of the military, all consummer goods are now imported from China, and that yes, INDEED, Obama IS President.

we are the only country in the world he puts the needs of ALL our treatied partners ahead of our own soldiers and citizens...no other country has made a commitment globaly such as ours. Our soldiers are tired. They escape death for 15 months only to go back a year later. BRING THEM HOME....

Sorry, but we're not supposed to discuss casualties in the post-Bush era. That topic was only for beating him up. Now that he's gone, we can safely ignore them and anything else that isn't successful in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Not enough info released yet to provide important details? Mass suicide, or individual? If these tragedies are consequences of the senseless wars in which these men fought, they are all the more reasons to end the wars now!

This is so tragic and unfortunately indicative of a greater trend among our veterans. Check out this report on the increase in veteran suicides: http://www.newslook.com/videos/167460-us-veterans-troubled-by-war-trauma
