Armed gang abducts busload of tourists in Mexico

A policeman stands guard in street where Mexican tourists were kidnapped Thursday.

Gunmen have abducted a busload of tourists in Acapulco, Mexico, a spokesman for the Guerrero State attorney general's office told CNN on
Saturday.

The 22 people were captured by an armed gang Friday night. All those aboard the bus were Mexican nationals from the neighboring state of Michoacan.

The problems in Mexico are becoming more visible because of the press. They have always been there, that's why so many Mexicans want to come to this country. Yes the Americans have financed the cartels through our demand for drugs, but if it were not coming from Mexico it would come from somewhere else.....Prohibition in our own country did not teach us anything..alcohol financed the Mafia in this country...pot financed the current drug cartels. I'm well aware they are dealing many other types of drugs, but pot was the biggest boon to start their rise. Legalize pot in the US, regulate it and tax it. Cut off the cartels at the knees. The growers in this country are also against the legalization of pot because it would undercut the price...When will we ever learn.
The criminalization of pot was started by Randolf Hearst for financial reasons to begin with. The hemp based paper companies were to about to put his pulp mills out of business, because hemp made a better and less expensive product..i.e.paper. Watch the movie Reefer Madness, which Mr. Hearst financed 100%, fictionalized madness from smoking a joint....watch out there are mad users roaming the streets everywhere.

Truth be told, Mexico's drug problem is only their problem. Except that the US buys the drugs and provides the criminals with guns... yeah... that is f***ed up

While I expect this to happen, and while I can imagine a bus load of Americans being abducted, THIS 'news' smells of FAKE. This allegedly took place September 30, & now 3 days later there is no word of this in the local papers in Texas?!
Again, while I expect some drug crazed drug lord to order the kidnapping of bus loads of people, this needs some follow-up and follow through.

I clicked on this story hoping it wasn't a busload of Mexicans because we all know how the story always ends with them... ðŸ™

But with the U.S. Army not remaining complacent but rather fighting against the cartels there, the demon would find a great Exorcist and so would the cartels!

    "Well...I think I'll have a beer."
"We don't have no beer...just tequila"
    "What's Tequila?"
    "Uh...It's like beer..."
    "Is it fattening?"
    "Fattenence?"
"Forget it, if it's like beer, we'll have some – three tequilas!"

When you've got a violent, crime-ridden, dysfunctional family living next door it's only a matter of time before you or your property become a victim of them.

post guards along the border, shoot anyone that tries to come over. Thats how other countries do it when they are being invaded. You won't have to shoot all of them, just the first 2 or 3, the rest will turn around and go home. If all the smart hardworking ones stay over there, THEN, maybe there will be a source for thier own grass roots movement to change thier country, much like we had in America in 1776 (a revolution for those who don't know)

Great words for a great THINKER! NOT!
I like how people like you always say WE made this country, WE fought the wars! I am willing to bet that you have done nothing to earn your right to be citizen here outside of just being born into it. You never served in the military and your idea of freedom is shooting your mouth on these blogs. Until you've served and put your life on the line, you will never know what real freedom is. So go back to your little think tank (your cubicle) and get back to your work.

You're a buffoon to even suggest one can't be a patriot unless they've fought in a war.

This story isn't even true. I was in Acapulco when this "kidnapping" happened. It wasn't a busload of people like the article above says. It was 22 men with no luggage riding in a caravan of 3 or 4 cars. They were definitely not tourists. The one and only witness retracted his story and has since fled. The media is ruining towns like Acapulco with false reporting. The article says it happened on Friday but the caption of the photo says Thursday...which is correct. Media...get your reporting right before you scare people into even going to the bathroom!

I am speachless. Only the fact that I personally know, respect and cherish many US citizens and have worked with US Worldwide companies keeps me from believing the comments of this line as the common citizen´s opinion.

I recommend that before you go and nuke-invade-police my country you take 3 seconds to consider that we; your neighbors; are here to help you in any way we can should the need arise.

BTW, tha last "Shoot on sight" wall was the Berlin wall.

    Sincerely;
    David, Mexican
