Armed gang abducts busload of tourists in Mexico

Gunmen have abducted a busload of tourists in Acapulco, Mexico, a spokesman for the Guerrero State attorney general's office told CNN on
Saturday.
The 22 people were captured by an armed gang Friday night. All those aboard the bus were Mexican nationals from the neighboring state of Michoacan.

The US has an enormous drug habit which has directly lead to the overpowering strength of the Mexican Drug Cartels. Strong enough to kill 29,000 since the Calderon election and now we want to turn our backs and say "Not our problem!"? Iraq was not our problem, Afghanistan is not our problem, but Mexico's problem is US. The worse it gets there the more illegal immigrants we will have here too. Our problem? YES.
I am a Mexican American and many innocent people are losing their lives due to the corrupt government Mexico has. I believe the U.S.A can assist the Mexican government since things are getting worse each day. Many people dont understand my point of view but even the big leaders are getting killed. Mexico is just across the border why would it be inconvenience to help our neighbor when they are in need of assistance.
Exactly lili. The sooner the U.S. takes a proactive stance and goes to help the situation out in Mexico, the sooner we will find the country minus many cartels. Mexico is indeed our closest neighbor to the South and since this is not just a Mexican problem but spans all the way over into the U.S.A., it is time we got troops to Mexico to fight the cartels and help get rid of the problem that is plaguing many Americans as well. We can no longer just remain complacent about this ever-growing problem. We need to get our troops across the border and show the perpetrators of high crimes, not just to Mexico but to U.S. citizens, that we're serious about bringing an end to the ever-strengthening cartel and drug crisis that continues without abatement.
Mexico needs to handle Mexico's problems. The USA needs to focus on rebuilding the American economy and not sending money we don't have to foreigners. Perhaps, the Sharia tells us best how to deal with drug dealers. If I remember correctly, in the Middle East, they execute drug dealers. If you execute every drug dealer arrested in America, soon you would not have a drug problem.
I lived in the Middle East for several years, my friend. Drugs are redily available there too.
Most of the Heroin is grown in Afghanistan. We do nothing about it there because it is the cash crop for many farmers there and if we prevent them growing it, they will starve. Then they will turn to the Taliban for help against us.

Mexico even cries for help from us to come take care of their violent out of control drug cartles that run their country. If we are gonna clean up their country, why not just take the land and make it ours and make it a safe and part of the modern world. Push them south into a smaller sized land that they can actually control and govern efficiently. The US has become the nice guy in every regard, but if the situation were reversed the world would still be in constant war with whoever has more power conquering and trying to control the people or countries around them. If Mexico were more powerful than us and had a similar situation do you not think they would try and take us over? I dont actually think this could or would ever happen but I think it would actually be beneficial to everyone.

The interesting thing is that cartels dont smuggle pot u @#$$#% so legalizing pot will not solve anything besides the majority of pot for the us is produced in the US, the triangle of pot in claifornia for example, the drug cartels are doing cocaine and tons of it example 1lb of pot = 5 to 7k $ 1lb of Cocaine = 30 to 50 k depending on the state

I believe that eventually, and it may take 20 more years of this, that Mex will have to create their own Special Forces and enlist Columbia on creating their own Los Pepes. That was the only way they brought down Pablo Escobar.

How much money is being wasted on pot enforcement? If it gets legalized, the cops would have more money to stop the REAL drug problem, which is meth labs and opiates. Cartels have been busted with pot grow op's in Cali. Do some more reasearch, and smoke one for me, you sound abit up-tight.
