Man arrested in connection with quadruple slayings

Kimani Washington faces weapons charges in connection with the shooting deaths.

A Massachusetts man has been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of four people, including a toddler, in Boston Tuesday, police said Saturday.

Kimani Washington, 35, was arrested without incident Friday night in an apartment complex in Manchester, New Hampshire, police there said. He is being held in New Hampshire pending his arraignment at Manchester District Court on a fugitive from justice charge.

"Today should serve as a warning to all those who seek to harm others,"
said Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. "Our offices will not rest until you are hunted down, captured and locked up."

In Massachusetts, Washington faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and receiving a stolen motor vehicle in connection with the shooting, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said.

The brutal shootings occurred on Sept. 28 around 1:15 a.m. in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston.

The shootings did not appear to be random, District Attorney Dan Conley said earlier this week. The individuals were found lying in the street - one of them naked. He has not been charged with murder.

Police identified the victims as Eyanna Louise Flonory, 21, her 2-year-old son, Amanihotep Smith, Simba Martin, 21, and Lavaughan Washum-Garrison, 22, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

A fifth person was brought to the hospital in critical condition.

The police commissioner declined to comment on whether Washington may have been the shooter in this case. He also refused to say whether police have any other suspects.

I am so often disgusted by this place. What other "news" site let's people make such horrible un moderated comments. I guess as long as you refrain from profanity, you can say whatever you want. Pathetic. Tragic!

Guns have a purpose, it is the person who decides what to do with it. This situation was about money and how greed takes no prisoner.

A gun turns a simple home robbery into a matter of life and death. Don't pull your gun out trying to stop someone from stealing your TV, because he and his friends behind you have guns too. And if you get "lucky" and shoot one of them, they will go upstairs and kill your entire family. A TV isn't worth it.

Please know that guns will always be out there. People need them for defense and the sick people will have them to do their horrible acts. Prayers for the family. Anyone dying is sad especially a two year old. Just remember everyone, we will always have guns in America. Let's never lose that right. To criminalize guns is just like criminalizing drugs, they will always be there no matter what you do. Since this is true, please don't try to disarm the law abiding citizens who are trying to defend themselves from these sick people. God bless.

Oh, one other thing. Everyone just ignore the heartless and attempts at humorous responses. These people simply post these comments just to try and upset people. Please ignore those ignorant comments. Trust me, when you read them, you will know the ignorant ones. IGNORE them. Do not respond to them. That's what they want you to do. Thanks.

I'm sick up to here (Motioning neck) of people who keep refering to monsters like these as animals. Animals don't systematically murder people and children out of personal ego anger, drug money, and for getting "a kick" out of it. One sure way not to get murdered is not to get involved in drugs and hang around people who are. Race has nothing to do with this. Always some moron who has to throw the race card or the president to make themselves look like an idiot. Then there's JEEPER, you make yourself look very small, by trying to look big correcting others spelling. Grow up and either make a comment or go teach a class on how to be boorish.

This is such a tragedy. Someone taking a 2 year old over a drug deal gone bad?! It truly shows you some people have no heart. Reading these comments on here made me think the same thing. If you are so ignorant to make light of a serious tragedy, I am surprised you can read. And there were human lives taken, and you bring up religion?! Truly sad.. regardless of what you believe, don't try to knock someone else's religion. I believe in God. I am not joined to any certain religion though. I don't need anyone to tell me what God is suppose to do. I know. I don't knock you for not believing so leave those of us who do alone. I feel the pain of the family who lost that baby. Maybe it was a drug deal gone bad, but that never should have ended that child's life. Shame on you who left those ignorant comments.

God punishes for murder and other sins. Mankind has freedom of choice. Sadly, (And keep in mind no gun has ever lifted itself up, pointed and fired at another human being) human beings in the United States don't understand one simple concept. Someone committs murder, you try him, find him guilty and execute him (many more times than not, a black male) the next day.
You do not turn your crime and punishment system into a job providing program. You are indirectly involved with numerous murders.
God punishes. That is a fact. My advice is this. You want to reduce murder, quit allowing murderers sit in prisons for twenty or thirty years. Take them out the day after receiving the death penalty AND SHOOT THEM!!
Undo the frickd up business you got going, and send them to God to be sent to Hell.
There is no forgiveness for murder. It took God a very long time to create a soul carrying machine. He just didn't snap his fingers!!
You ask, oh but what if we execute an innocent person?
    He goes to Heaven. Idiots!!!
